The Tourist Information room is inside the Historium Building in the Markt Square. For some reason the only indication it is there is a white i on a green background sign above the ground floor windows to the left of the first floor balcony and some distance to the left of the main entrance so it's not obvious. Beyond that it's worth having a look around the displays inside. There are various tour options available We chose just to go up the tower to photograph the belfry tower. Beware it's a long climb up the spiral staircase and if you cant get through the narrow doorway at the bottom of the stairs dont bother as you wont get out on to the very narrow balcony at the top. We received the reply that we had just missed the only walking tour of the week. After expressing our dismay she told us that if we had been better prepared then we wouldn't have missed the tour.
The employee did afterwards provide us with minimal information on the boat tours but we didn't receive the information that we were expecting from a tourist...
