Sint Joris restaurant — Restaurant in Bruges

Respond to the owner’s response: we don’t know that it is not allowed to bring two waffle ice creams and one small waffle stick (purchased for the preschool kid). After your reminder, we have already expressed sorry. However, this doesn’t give the right to your waiter to 1. first try to persuade us to purchase additional food to our little kid, on the condition that we have ordered one appetizer and two full entrees. After hearing that we would not purchase additional entree for our little kid. What was that face shown on your waiter?? 2.when your waiter brought the dishes, he almost throw/drop the plate to our table without saying a single word! 3. Before we finish our dishes and about to check out, the waiter-who kept the cold face without saying a single word during the entire duration-just said “you need to bring all these garbages outside”. Excuse me? Does he ever understand what manner is? Especially as a waiter, what should be the right behavior? We paid for the food and service! We were not there to spend money for being insulted!!

If you believe these are “your waiter did his job”, then I have no doubt why the waiter can stay here even with so many reviewers have complained his behaviors - because it is indeed the restaurant thinks all his did - unfair and unrespect to the customers- is correct. What a shame!

Ate here this summer while meeting some friends to have a nice bourgondic weekend. A local recommended us this restaurant as we wanted to have some nice blegian stew meat by a nice restaurant, instead of a snackbar. We were considering to sit down as we saw the price list, but we just went for it!

This was our mistake! We all (6 people) took the stew meat and ordered it at the waiter. Most of us didn't even take something to drink as a local beer was 4,50 euros, quite expensive. Anyway, the biggest shock was the plates. We got a huge plate, but it wasn't even filled for a third. We saw a hopeless pile of stew meat, with maybe 20 grams of vegetables on the side. Additionaly we got like 20 fries each. The whole dish costed 18 euro. We were so hungry that we just started eating without thinking but soon we discovered this would not satisfy us at all.

The waiter came to pick up our place without asking anything, just taking the plates. When we pointed out we weren't satisfied with the portion of the dish he basically said: this is just the regular portion, we will not give anything more. Later on we went to another guy who was more in charge I guess, who was just being arrogant that no one ever complained about this and blabla, so we just had to pay. So we did...

In 2 hours we could go eat again, cause we were just hungry as hell. At a snackbar we could get the same, with triple the fries for 7-8 euros.

I and my husband visited Brugge for the first time and we just wanted to experience some local food and decided to try Sint Joris restaurant. After we entered restaurant, we were waited to be seated and Enid(hopefully my spelling is correct) referred us to a table for six, despite we are two. While we were preparing to sit, an angry waiter approached us and told my husband that “you cannot sit here because I might need it for crowded groups, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?” As our English is quite good, we clearly understand what he meant, but his attitude was very insulting and rude. Then Enid told him that she seated us to that table, but he still wanted to move us back for a table for two and we moved back and asked Enid kindly to be ensure that we would be served by her not by him. We were about give our orders to Enid, but she told us that he was not happy us to stay in the restaurant and he wanted us to leave and as we did not want to ruin our holiday we left. But in my opinion, we were treated that disrespectful way, because he was RACIST.
