Wonderful Experience at an Asian Restaurant - Amazing Staff!

Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at an incredible Asian restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly smile from the staff.

Unfortunately a disappointment. The sushi was ok. By itself it would be a 3 or 4. But I never saw the waitress smile even once, it more seemed like we were in the way. And everything she did seemed like a constant bother. The food took some time to be ready. By itself I wouldn't mind this too much either. It's more that the sum of it all makes me less than impressed, and wished that it was so much more.

I would want to add that we read some reviews on beforehand, saying the service was so and so. And we brushed it off as perhaps waiter/waitress having a bad day. Or customer demanding too much. Or other things. I hate leaving a bad review but on this one I'm afraid I can't do a positive one. I hope they change, because apart from this single experience, Bruges has been nothing...

Went on a Tuesday evening to Kanikama. As someone who has tried quite a few sushi places, sushi is really sub-par compared to other Japanese restaurants. Me and a friend ordered the sushi boat. Biggest problem for me was the sushi rice. It was cold by the time we got the boat, it just didn't taste great and was mediocre at best. I also had nigiri with shrimp that had the texture of plastic (read: inedible). It took quite awhile to get some the sushi boat as well, although I wouldn't mind at all if the sushi was great. I would have given this a two star for the sushi alone, but the very friendly service made up for it. When leaving the place, there was only one chef making sushi, so in overall this experience could probably have been better if they had an extra hand in...
