What a gem! We discovered this lovely museum by happenstance during a free guided tour through the city and came back because of our great first impression. You can feel the passion of the people working at the museum, it is really well made with an eye for detail. They also have an important mission: the museum and shop support the traditional artwork of communities from the region and thus help to keep their indigenous culture alive.
We got an introduction in the first room and you also get a folder available in different languages of everything you can see in the exposition. I was especially impressed by the artworks of the Jalq’a that could fill an exposition all by themselves in my opinion.

The museum shop is also really nice, the quality of the products is great and you can see a weaver working on the tapestries that are later sold there.
