Framing & Art Centre — Attraction in Coquitlam

Do yourself a favour and find A different company to trust with very expensive or one of a kind artwork. I had the most horrible experience with this company. I had ordered two canvas prints from an online dealer and took it to this company for custom framing. They Quoted me $550.00 which was actually OK considering that it was custom framing. The communication was horrible with no follow up except for me calling to find out progress on what was taking so long. Then finally they said that the shipment of frames was delayed due to Covid so I went back in the store and picked a different frame for both of my prints. A month later of me calling to see when the prints would be ready I was told that my order was not ready. Finally When the order was ready I brought the prince home to find out that one had been fully scratched. They didn’t even have the decency to tell me that they had damage the print. So I had to take it back. Then they decided that they would ask their photographer to take photos of my prints and frame those. I didn’t have an option so I agreed to this. When I went to pick it up they insisted that everything was fine and when I brought the prints home one of the prints was in regular glass and not the UV blocking custom glass that I had paid for. It was a total nightmare. They did slash the bill in half which was the least they could do and replaced the glass. I wasn’t going to write a review but then when I went into the mall and pass the store today I saw copies of my artwork that I had brought into the store on display and sale at $180. These must’ve been the pictures that the photographer took. Talk about an unethical company. I cannot believe that they have now taken pictures of artwork that I paid for and they are trying to sell it at their store....

The wonderful thing about this place is that they can take infant passport photos, permanent resident photos, and visa photos! I tried to take my 3 month old daughter for residency photos at London Drugs and they wouldn’t do it, and it turns out a lot of places won’t, but they can do it here. Pricing is competitive.

They also know the requirements for Chinese visa pictures. We came in wanting “passport type photos” for our China visas (which is what I had read online) and they let us know that China actually has more specific requirements than that. They had documentation about it and they knew what they were doing. So, that saved us the time and trouble of figuring it out ourselves the hard way!

For the baby’s residency photo, they asked me to come back in 30 minutes to pick it up. For our family’s Chinese visa photos they asked us to come back the next day to pick them up. The shorter wait especially was fine because this shop is at the mall, so there is plenty to do while waiting.
