Five of us enjoyed a cruise on the Bluenose on Father’s Day then went shopping at the Company Store. Sign says washroom is for customers only. My wife and shopping and went into the customer washroom. She tells me that suddenly a woman - presumably a manager or supervisor - appeared and started demanding loudly “Who’s in there?!” and started barking at the other staff that the washroom is for customers only. Which I thought we were, since I had paid for five boat tickets and were about to buy things in the store. The other staff seemed alarmed or embarrassed by their colleague’s behaviour. My wife was offended and embarrassed at this treatment and put her intended purchases back on the shelf and left. We haven’t been back. As they were boarding today, he told a crewmember if there were any cancelations, hed be happy to go now. The female crew member held up her extended hand to his face and said "No! were good!". A kind simple "sorry, we're full" would have sufficed. I was just in the Bluenose store and spoke to the cashier for a second about the chocolate by Peace by Chocolate. No smiles from her at all. She hadn't ever been on a sailboat and we had an amazing time! The cruise was a great adventure, the crew were fantastic and we have a shared memory for all our lives.
