Spent a nite there for my birthday. It was a last minute reservation as the hotel we had booked was a total let down, so we could thankfully cancel We stayed at the Brigantine Inn and I was worried about the stairs as I have a mobility issue but they weren't a problem, just slow and one step at a time Check in was great and very easy & I was able to get us a great reservation time for supper, especially with it being Valentine's Day, my birthday ❤️and being last minute Room was clean, roomy and a beautiful view Went downstairs to the Grandbanker for lunch, best Caesar salad and very good serving, could not eat it all Supper was wonderful😍 I had the Lunenburger, no side as I was still not hungry from lunch & the Birthday girl did need her dessert 😉 it was the BEST bread pudding Thanks to the staff for the wonderful food & accommodations, will def go back & recommend

Amazing views of the harbor and easy access to shopping and dining. The carriage rides started outaode our window and the Bluenose II is located there, too. You have to check in at the bar on the lower level and you are on your own from there. We didnt need any help, so it was perfect for us. We arrived Sunday afternoon for one night stay amd found parking nearby. Since it was Sunday we were able to leave our car in that spot. The room was clean, carper was a littlw worn, bathroom was very clean with great shower that was hot and had pressure. Linens were crisp and clean. We had room the HMS Rose Room, it had a queen and pullout bed. The pullout was comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, great food. Spent two nights here during our tour of Nova Scotia. Check-in was quick and easy. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and the food was delicious. Our third floor room had a great view of the harbor. Was concerned if it would be loud at night being over a restaurant but the town shuts down by 10 and it was quiet. Loved sitting in the "reading" nook watching the harbor. We explored Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Black Rock Lighthouse area as well as Lunenburg. Location and view can't be beat.

I am beyond disgusted right now with this establishment. We stayed there this past weekend of Friday November /2 - Sunday Nov 04. Saturday evening at 8:00 the Inn lost power due to a high windstorm and fire to a pole/boat. Nova Scotia power estimated the power to be back on by 2am. We decided to leave and make the drive home. Afterall who wants to pay $160.00 a night to stay in a room with now power and no heat where you cant enjoy the amenities offered. I spent 6 days trying to reach someone to inquire about a refund. I just got off the phone with someone who told me the owner said where it was out of thier hands there is nothing they can do about it. So essentially they expected us to sit in that room from 8:00 until we went to sleep with zero heat and zero light. I mentioned that no staff came along to offer candles or flashlights or to just check up on the guests. Her reply was that they dont want to "bother" guests..sounds more like they just dont want to deal with them. It would be good business to check in with your guests to see if everything is ok would it not? It is the courteous thing to do, proper business etiquette. Seems as though the resturaunt below only deals with guests when they absolutely must. And you wouldnt even know that the resturaunt below is where you check into the Inn unless you ask around. So not only did we pay $320.00 for two nights at the Inn but we also spent our money at the resturaunt. Good to know they treat their guests like this and our hard earned money is wasted. This was our first weekend away together since having our son almost 4 years ago. Im absolutely disgusted because this has now ruined our whole experience there and we will most certainly not be back or reccomend either...

Avoid at all costs! I had the unfortunate experience of booking a room at this establishment months in advance, only to receive an email on the morning of our scheduled arrival, informing us that our reservation had been canceled. It was baffling to learn that the room we had reserved had ‘sprung a leak’ and had been supposedly "closed" for a month, and yet they waited until the day of our arrival to notify us (as yet unseen email sent at 11:00 that morning)

The staff's behavior during this ordeal was unhelpful to say the least. They displayed a complete lack of professionalism and were shockingly dismissive when we inquired about the cancellation. Instead of taking responsibility for their own negligence, they attempted to shift the blame onto the booking agent, which was far from the truth. It was clear that they were simply too lazy to inform guests with existing bookings of the situation. Moreover the check in is actually in the bar and the staff were rather more focused on serving drinks than helping people supposedly try to check in.

This entire experience left me utterly disgusted with this hotel. I strongly advise against staying with them. The staff's complete lack of interest and their utter unreliability left us in a precarious situation with a family of 4 after traveling over from England. It's a shame that such a lacklustre, unprofessional, establishment is allowed to operate in the hospitality industry. Avoid...
