On the banks of the Saint Lawrence, Clock Tower Beach glows under the North American sun, a soft urban oasis where the river hums and the breeze smells faintly of summer adventure. Across the ocean, Paris Plages lines the Seine with the same promise: sand underfoot, umbrellas swaying, city skylines bending toward the water. One carries the echo of seagulls and ships, the other the murmur of bateaux-mouches and café laughter. Two cities, two shores, one shared dream, to bring the sea’s soul into the heart of the city.

I went to Montreal this time, and we found this hidden beach behind the clock tower. I looked at some pictures from the review and it looks amazing in the summer. However, the beach was already closed during the time of our Thanksgiving weekend visit. I will definitely be back next time to enjoy this beach.

Real sand beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Of course you can't swim there since there is a port and marina nearby but still it's a good spot to enjoy some shade during summertime in Montreal. The park nearby is also a great and fresh spot for picnics.

It's midday, mid-summer and mid-week and it's closed? Why is this area even locked? Redpath Sugar beach in Toronto has the same thing and it's free, because it's public. The clock beach should be open - seriously a waste of space if it's just going to be private and closed to tourists and locals. Also, had I known it was $2 to sit in a chair, wouldn't have bothered checking it out. Cash grab...
