disappointed…if you look at past reviews on this employee, yes, he’s still unprofessional. coincidentally in my pic too! food was good, not much interaction with the guy who served us. had his airpods in while working. i tip based on treatment; ive also worked in service depending on tips. we went to pay, he was watching the machine, id rather tip without being watched. i decided leaving a tip by coin for discretion. i pressed no tip, was if something was wrong with the food, we denied. immediately got agitated, said something along the lines of “youre supposed to tip, it is canadian culture to tip. just because you came from some other place…” - very unprofessional and out of pocket. i responded, “tips can also be in cash, if you don’t want it, it’s fine”. he motioned to the coin tip jar, i refuse after his poor behaviour. not after the way he demanded a tip. he replied “i don’t think you were gonna tip”. it’s one thing to watch someone tip, assume they weren’t going to tip and then humiliate the customer. further being passive aggressive with his words and body language simply because i refused to give him my coins. you’re most likely an immigrant here too, commenting on canadian culture is nothing for you and i. don’t blame customers for the governments low wages. if you cannot handle tourists with different tipping cultures, simply work elsewhere. at the end of the day, if i tipped or not, he would’ve been upset at us not ordering enough as a group of three or upset at us for not tipping enough (referring to other poor reviews). if you read responses to other posts regarding tipping, you’ll notice the store responses are defensive. what a shame. good business built on asian culture but making concerning comments to your tourist customers, with no professionalism either!

We had brunch for two on a Saturday and it was absolutely perfect. Location: Parking is not always easy to find in this area so you might have a more pleasant experience by taking the metro; you should stop at Champs de Mars metro (orange line) and walk around 8 minutes. It is in a beautiful part of the city, in the old Montréal vicinity, so the walk there is very pleasant. *There are some streets with upward slopes in that area, so on a wintery slippery day you might consider a side street or postponing your visit instead. Food: We started with lattes (rose latte) and it was good enough; the presentation was the best part, served in a cute cup and with latte art. We also ordered the breakfast crepes and it was very tasty. There are good vegetarian options (goat cheese, mushroom, potatoes, eggs, salad, fruit etc) so you can skip meat easily if that's your dietary preference. We also ordered their famous crème brulée crepe as dessert and it was a delicious and a truly perfect way to end the meal. It was not overly sweet and the portion was quite generous. Service: The service was 10/10; staff was kind, helpful and quite fast, given how busy the cafe is (the flow of clients was constant and they were so efficient!). I will definitely come again.

**If there is a waiting line, you will have to go in and check in with the waiter and write your name and the amount of members in your group.** Everything was great until they forgot our order, we ordered 2 dishes (D'Accord and Cri D'amour) and 2 drinks (ice salted caramel latte and matcha latte). They did not check on us after we were waiting for 30 minutes. We didn't have our drinks or food. After waiting 40 minutes after we ordered, we did let them know after realizing everyone after us got their food and drinks. They made our order as fast as they could. If they didn't forget about our order, it would have been a solid 5/5. The food was delicious. The crepe is amazingly well done. The drinks were great and wonderfully well made. What you order, the amount you get is very generous. Aesthetically, the place is great but space is tight and limited. But they make it work. Overall, if they didn't forget about our order, it would have been an excellent experience. If you are waiting longer than 15 minutes, definitely check in with the waiter.

Further to the cafe’s reply form last comment. I can’t believe they were trying to make up the story. “Can you be fast and fix it” Please show everybody the CCTV if you have. No one said that, the question was “can we use the toilet (employee toilet) because there were more than 10 people in the queue!” Yes some finished and left the queue. No one said or trying to sad pushy words like “can you be fast and fix it”. We NEVER said it. Don’t make up the stories and tell your colleague the truth.

The ones who used the employee toilet were my dad (75 years old) and my nephew (13 years old), no body else used the employee toilet until we asked for it.

But what that waitress reacted was “close the toilet hardly making loud sounds”. The next one waiting for the toilet was my mother and she is 70 years old. So this was how she behave in front of an elderly.

This is the truth you should tell your colleagues how did you behave to your customers. Why didn’t you mention this? I was shocked how poor service was delivered by the waitress. What’s even worst, before the waitress left for her work, she left words to another waiter (that guy was pretty nice during the whole experience) that “the door was not locked with unknown reasons and “they BROKE it in”. What did you mean with this statement?????? Hey life is hard but don’t make everybody else’s lives hard as yours!!!!!! Try to understand what the customer’s need.

Yes we felt offended by the waitress. “Close the door super hardly” “They broke it in”

Service - 0 star. The waiter was nice, explaining the food, setting our expecting on the food preparation time. We did feel good for the experience but not the toilet experience with extremely RUDE waitress. Food was fair, between 3-4 stars For the toilet, so 3 stars, the other setting was...

This was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had. I love studio Ghibli, thought this would be cute but instead the atmosphere and any vibe was far outweighed by the tight, impossibly loud environment. The reason im leaving this review is the ATROCIOUS service. I'm not the type to complain about what I'm given if I don't like it, I'll usually grin and bear it but the Matcha Latte I ordered was undrinkable, no exaggeration. I drink Matcha, I know what it's supposed to be like, this had the texture and taste of lumpy mud....which I paid $7 for. Mistakes happen, I accept that, my partner ordered the same drink and it was fine. BUT when I asked for mine to be remade because it was expensive and I couldn't drink it (seriously I could have chewed it) they REFUSED, claiming they were all the same and I just didn't like it. Once again, my partner ordered the same drink and it did not have the taste and texture of mud, there was very clearly an issue with mine. I tried to add sugar and it sat on top in a lump unable to sink through the thick texture of the Matcha mud. As an aside, we ended up leaving (packed up our food without touching it, minus the mud) because it was so loud and tightly packed I was on the verge of a panic attack which isn't great for Brunch and there is no outdoor seating to avoid this. On top of this, the Totoro theming consists of overpriced stuffed animals and pictures on the wall. The latte art isn't even offered with every latte and you can't request to add it. It's just very lackluster in theming, aside from the lattes, the food isn't themed at all and as I said the decor is basic at best. I would not recommend this place to...
