This is just the worst place. Let me tell you how it is from the beginning of the "Labyrinth" to the moment where you are leaving through the emergency exit. First, you fork over your money to the cashier. It's way overpriced! It costs 53$ for a family of 4! Then, you wander through doors. Nobody tells you where the start of the maze is, you just follow everyone until you get to a stinky room with metal bleachers. Everyone is confused until a staff member wearing overalls and rollerblades comes in and tells you not to follow the maze drawing on your ticket. Then she tells you you have to find four treasures. Nobody knows what to do! She points you to the entrance and you enter the maze. The walls are made of blue plastic, and it's hard to believe the maze was made from spare parts by longshoremen a long time ago. There is no air. You wander aimlessly through punching bags for a few minutes. The maze is overcrowded and smells bad. When I got to the middle, a little girl was curled up on the floor crying. I don't blame her. Also, a woman was stuck in some prison bars that you have to go through while a group of people tried to pull her out. By this point, angry mobs of people were heading for the fire ext, including us. When got to the door, the rollerblading employee blocked it and said:" This isn't the exit! You can't leave from here. You must go to the end of the maze." Everyone must have looked intimidating, so she skated away and let us through. Everyone was gasping for air. To top things off, the bathroom smelled like 6-year old crusting Limburger cheese and they sold overpriced snacks. Honestly, they should pay YOU 50$ to come to this awful maze....
Read moreThe labyrinth is back at the old port. I had gone a few times years back before it closed and really liked it. This time we went during Black Out day where everything is dark and you bring a flashlight. The maze is similar where you need 4 stamps scattered in different areas before you are allowed to leave. The Black Out day adds little but still worth checking out if you are going anyway why not go on Black Out day. There was fairly long lines especially around 9pm when we got out. And yes this is suitable for children as well, they will likely enjoy it just as much. It is now on the second floor so the obstacles are a little more limiting but still an original and fun thing to do. It is a little costly at $16 to $20 for about 45 minutes, but if you are visiting Montreal (or even local) be sure to check out the combo deals with the Grande Roue, pédalo (pedal boat), Voiles en Voiles,...
Read moreComplete waste of time and money. Went with the family (wife, and 2 boys: ages 9 and 13) to the night activity where they give you flashlights to solve a "mystery". $120 down the drain. The mystery was not explained well or interesting. The clues are misleading and frustrating, especially in the dark with tiny flashlights. Spent 90 minutes running around in circles to find clues, that in the end, weren't worth the time and effort. Once inside, the staff had no interest in being friendly or helpful, and at the end, at the exit, didn't acknowledge us at all as we left. Other people are stating that the heat is a problem. We thought that while it was a bit warm, it was the fact that we had wasted so much money on such a poor experience that had us sweating. Take your money to an Escape Room, or any other activity in the area (there's a lot of other things to do) instead of...
