Downtown Windsor Farmers Market — Attraction in Ontario

I previously rated this place slightly lower due to my first experience. The admin responded to my review and encouraged me to come back and try again. Since then, I have returned 3 times. My first review was on the hottest day of the summer. Many vendors didn't show up. Since returning, I've found everything I've been looking for. Fresher than the grocery store, no wax covering, etc. In many cases the things I'm buying are cheaper than at the grocery store as well.

Whether it be fresh herbs, unique mushrooms, fresh fish, or cooked to order foods. I'm finding some of the best quality at the downtown market. The prices are fair, the products are fresh, and there's even live entertainment. After visiting the market 4 or 5 times now, I'm quite impressed and will be disappointed when they close for the winter. I don't know if I showed up on a bad day, or just a bit late (11 am) but I was thoroughly unimpressed with what I found here. The middle of the market being some performance area that you have to walk through to get from side to side is rather uncomfortable.

They did have good shops, but it's honestly not worth the effort to travel all the way down there and not even find someone with hot peppers. For example. There was a limited amount of produce and a really nice Indian food place and a few people selling plants and crafts. Did they move it? Held every Saturday from 8 am onwards. There are multiple vendors ranging from fresh vegetables and fruits to homemade sauces, etc. Ready to eat food vendors available too. Some are a bit pricey, but if one is willing to spend extra for fresh produce, this is the place. I don't know if all of the vendors have fresh organic produce, but most do. There is live music too, which amplifies the liveliness of the whole experience. There are good breakfast-brunch places situated right there like Dog's breakfast.
