Kings Bake Shop & Cafe — Restaurant in Ontario

I had a really bad experience with kings bakeshop recently. I have called on 2024-01-04 to place and order for 2024-01-06 and the lady on the phone was really rude and she said that I can’t place an order as it less than 48 hours. I told her that is not possible because I am placing an order for two days in advance. It seems she did not want to place an order so she told me to place online and pick up on 2024-01-06 at noon not before and not after. I mean it is not a doctor’s appointment . I ended not placing the order because of the fact I was scared it was going to be cancelled and the website was totally unclear and confusing. I called kings bakeshop the next day to see if I can place the order over the phone and the lady kept giving me an attitude and I only wanted a small dessert box since I have guest coming the next day. The lady kept telling me that it is too late and she won’t do a custom order and I’ll have to come to the store to pick and choose what I need and there is a chance she won’t have everything in stock which does not make sense. That dessert box is available on the website and it is not customed at all, it makes no sense. I kept telling her it is not customed order and that it is embarassing your unable to do it due to the fact that I have guest coming the next day. The lady started arguing with me, she kept telling me that she has other clients before me and they are more important to her. Lady if you have your own clients that are super important more than new clients. Then focus on these clients, don’t take any future orders and don’t give attitudes for clients who are trying to order from you and make them feel they need you more than you need them. On top of that, she told me that I kept cutting her off which was not the case and she started laughing at me. Really really bad service, avoid that place...

Kings Bakeshop is by far the best bakery in WEC! While we miss them in Kingsville, they're worth the trip to Windsor for a buttery, fresh croissant. I genuinely cannot get enough! Their croissant sandwiches are something I dream about and when they run out, I buy a few croissants and make my own at home (as seen in my photo).

Also, please ignore the bitter customer who gave a one star review twice because they're incapable of reading hours of operation and showed up after the shop was closed haha! I have no idea how other local businesses not knowing how to tell them hours of operation aren't suggestions is a reflection of this businesses customer service, but ok? PLEASE, how can anyone give this amazing local baker a poor review because they expect the shop to be open after hours?! Their hours of operation are on their instagram, website, Google page, AND their online order page. Entitled people trying to ruin a small business because of their own lack of forethought is unacceptable! Anyways, thanks for coming to my ted talk lol

Cheslea is one of the kindest, most understanding and accommodating people we could've ever hoped to work with to bring our wedding cake vision to life. Her attention to detail and creativity did not go unnoticed by our guests! Our wedding cake helped tie in our music theme perfectly and surpassed all expectations.

We had our wedding outdoors on a hot summer day, much to our cake's dismay. By the time we had arrived at the reception venue, the top tier had fallen over, damaging the middle tier as well. We called Cheslea who was back within minutes, ready to save the day! She quickly got to work redecorating another gorgeous version of our wedding cake and even spruced up the damaged top tier so that we could still have it to freeze for our first anniversary. What could have been a stressful disaster ended up being a calm and funny moment to look back on, thanks to Cheslea's thoughtfulness and professionalism. The lengths Kings Bakeshop goes to ensure that their customers are taken care of is unreal. We'll never be able to thank her enough for everything she did for us!

10/10 would recommend this amazing bakeshop!!
