I write with my deepest appreciation for Lekhya, the print customer service representative at Staples. I've been in customer service for 10+ years and I must say she has been the best that I've ever experienced thus far.
Every year, my team and I organize and host a free, pop-up clothing store for people experiencing homelessness. Generous sponsors help us make this happen and we recognize them on a sponsor poster. After picking up the poster, I noticed there was an error on it. At this time it was around 4PM, and I was in a panic because the event was less than 24 hours away and I was aware that not many places would support me last minute in re-printing the poster. I tried Staples anyway. Marcus answered calmly and assured me that they would support in every way that they can if I bring it in right away. When I came in, I met Lekhya and she was warm, compassionate, professional, friendly, and adaptable. She reassured me that she will support the best that she can and made my frantic thoughts disappear. It's not very often that you can find a customer service representative with so much patience!
Customer service goes beyond the "service" itself, but the humane and compassionate side. I happily paid for their services feeling really grateful because not only were they compassionate, but also got the job done really fast and efficiently.
My experience with Lekhya goes beyond a "reprint" for a customer, but it's much bigger... Staples was a part of creating a positive experience for residents in the Downtown Eastside as well as making a frantic...
Read moreI went to this location at about 7 20 today , wanting to print a poster , needed it very urgently today , as it took up 35% of my grades . I tried asking the printstation employees for help and they straight up told me it was not possible to get it done in such short time , (actually it was totally possible only takes 5 mins ) . I tried looking for help and there was no one around in the printing section , only one female employee in that whole stationery area , I was a bit disappointed and angry , nobody was getting the help they needed , and the only employe there was , was not helpful at all , idk if she had a bad day or what , but damn the customer service was beyond bad ( acted like she didn’t want to be there , and full of attitude type ) . However , one employee stood out the most for me , her name was Chandan , eventhough i had to go to the computer section to look for help , for the printing station , I am so glad I found her . She was so helpful and got everything done for me , ( she actually paged the printshop employee to get my poster done , but ended up doing it for me , prolly because the printing station employee was too lazy to do it ) , anyways I am super thankful for her and tried looking for her , to thank her , but the store was closing and I couldn’t see her anywhere. Anyways , Thank you Chandan , you really...
Read moreThis is the best location ever for printing, marketing, and courier needs! I would single out phenomenal employees at this location however, since there are many wonderful and helpful employees, I will make a collective review instead. This Staples gets really, really busy. However, the employees still manage to be uber polite, friendly, patient, extra attentive, and extremely helpful with any task and/or question you may have, and they go the extra mile. They always make sure that my needs have been met. Even two weeks ago, I was running late, Staples has been super busy, and for my packages to make it on time 2 employees helped me pack my package on site, glue the labels etc, and all that with a smile on their faces and extreme courtesy. If this is not exquisite service, then I do not know what this is. The employees here are wonderful human beings and it makes me sad that they are being overloaded and overworked. If a manager happens to read these reviews, my only request would be please, employ 1 or two extra employees at the printing and marketing department because it hurts my eyes to see these employees (there are usually only 2) overloaded with tasks, running with their tongues out from one patron to the other. This location is...
