Went to this school and in the middle of my degree the COVID pandemic peaked. I basically got scammed into paying a full year's tuition for bogus online 'classes'. No refund, no aid, no debt relief.
I said screw this I'm not spending another year's worth of my life and money for a half-baked education. Stuck with a student loan that I still haven't paid off.
If this saves even just one young person from wasting their time here, then it was worth posting. Go into trades or something, anything. Make sure that money is well invested in YOU and you alone. Don't just go along with a degree because people told you to.
As for UBC, shame on you for pulling that crap on thousands of students. Many like me were working outside of class as much as possible just to make ends meet. Heard some talk about whether what happened was even legal. Worth looking into. Good luck to all the other students who...

The location of the campus is firstly quite astounding.
There is quite literally a full-on beach right in the outskirt of campus, and campus itself is surrounded by nature.
Some interesting places to visit such as the japanese garden.
I do think that student specific buildings could use some work - things just seem a bit far apart.
