I can't say I enjoyed it.... The introduction lady was super cute and fun and really started the experience off on a good foot. .. BUT the entire story, map building and ghost hunting accessories/clues were sub par- terribly written, with clues that make no sense (super vague). ... The map sends you to SO many stops which A. Is exhausting as it's just going on a circle (mind you we were a bit tired today from travel) and B. Multiple stops were just... Like history "moments" that didn't seem properly intertwined into the story. (But we are locals so it's monuments/buildings/history that we already were aware of)

The amount of time 2.5 hours truly isn't enough unless you want to hustle hard.. especially with kids (drink breaks and washroom breaks... All these things take forever downtown)

The story itself was lame. But what really topped it off, was the lady at the help desk over the phone- she was SOOOO condescending and entirely unhelpful. ( I wonder if it was the introduction lady, cause that be a hilarious contrast)

PRO: The customer care over email IS FANTASTIC, and the booking process is SUPER EASY!

Really would've loved better directions, more elaborate clues, better story telling and more time. We arrived back and I handed the stuff in and I'm not even sure what the point was... Like... We answered 75 percent but what does that do...? I was never informed of any end "congratulatory...

I wouldn't give this company a 1 if I didn't have the option. We had organized a virtual year end game party for today and our host did a no show. We had 40 of our colleagues waiting to login and nothing. I called the number Vancouver mysteries provided and a lady answered who told me she had no idea what was going on and would find out and call me back. I called back since I didn't hear from her and she tells me if I keep calling her she wouldnt be able to sort it out. Half hour goes by and our colleagues are still waiting and at this point we cancelled our event and someone finally gets back to us. This place is a joke and I would highly not recommend. They are not reliable and if you hire them you will be disappointed. This had caused us some major embarrassment and disappointment. If you want to make sure your event doesn't go down the drain DO NOT HIRE...

We solved the mystery in Gastown and the experience is really fun and interesting! You're walking around town looking for clues and the puzzles are really fun to solve. Even though it was drizzling and not the warmest day, the experience was so immersive we weren't bothered by the weather. The only reason I give 3 instead of 5 stars is that the agent who was supposed to be in character was not in character at all. He might have been just having a bad day but he didn't seem into the game at all or interested in the storytelling. At the end he even refused to take a photo of our group (even though he just took one for their webpage), and the whole interaction was quite awkward and a bit of a buzzkill, which was unfortunate and made us question the ticket price. Overall we enjoyed it more than an indoor...

We have done two of Vancouver Mystery's Indoor games now as a work team building activity and have ALWAYS had a great time! This most recent one we did was Legend of The Gastown Gold. It was so fun to have everyone collaborate and bring a little piece of knowledge to different parts of the puzzle as we worked together to solve the mystery (in 1 hour and 5 minutes for a little humble brag)! Even though Tanya and Mark may have steered us away from the wrong answer every once in a while, we left feeling like genius detectives! We definitely recommend this activity for a team building activity, or a fun night out. Tanya and Mark are so engaging and bring so much extra fun and knowledge to the game - thank you both :)

My uncle and I did one of the hardest ones. We got the clues but ran out of time. We had SO MUCH FUN! It was an amazing experience and am awesome way to learn about some history of the dt core of Vancouver! I definitely recommend doing this in bigger groups (more than the 2 we had even 3 or 4 would be good) or do one of the easier investigations! I would definitely do this again! One of the huge bonuses was that it was accessible and I had a hard time finding things that were that I could do (coming from Ontario and looking online). We covered a lot of milage but everything was on ground level. Would highly recommend this activity for anyone of all ages!

I'm so glad we tried Vancouver Mysteries! We've done a number of escape rooms and outdoor scavenger hunts, but this combined both into a really fun afternoon for Father's Day. We live downtown, so were pretty familiar with the area, but still learned some new things. The two hours time limit worked well for us - we even had time to stop by Soft Peaks mid-game for a delicious treat. If you're from downtown, you might try to do the game without using the map (although there are a few clues where you need the map). We'll definitely be back later this summer!
