Travelled as a family of 2 adults and 1 Child for 7N. I would break up my review into the following points-
1)Location- The hotel is located in a good area however,it is a decent amount of walk to the MTR station. Lot of eateries , grocery shops like 7/11 , k circle and restaurants nearby.
2)Rooms - we read lot of reviews regarding how small the rooms are & were somehow prepared mentally for it. The rooms are literally match box sized ,but thats how it is in HK. Infact they would be so small that adjusting and accommodating suitcases can become a problem.Inspite of the small size of the rooms, they are clean and bed is comfortable. No complimentary water but they do give a glass bottle that can be refilled at the filling stations(this is not a big problem and can be easily managed).
3)Room service and Housekeeping- This is perhaps the most disappointing aspect of this hotel. Room service is absolutely horrible- slow and forgetful- you have to constantly call them to send stuff to the room, clear plates rtc . In fact the plates after being cleared would be kept at the emergency exit for days. Housekeeping staff is very cold and rude. If they could improve this aspect , they would probably go a long way.
4)Breakfast - Breakfast is pretty ordinary but considering that most HK hotels dont offer breakfast, it was reasonably ok. Just 4 main items with sides like cereal , fruit , milk. We stayed 7N and barely had any variety in the breakfast. Just a suggestion to have more options . The breakfast restaurant staff is very courteous, polite and warm. So a big thumbs up for that.
5)Reception/Front Desk/ Concierge- usually you would talk about this aspect first but just wanted to end this review with the best part about this place- Their reception and concierge staff. Everyone including Eddie, Cathy, Eric, Kevin, Derek ,Andrew, Wilson and Thomas were absolutely fantastic, always smiling and every so ready to help .
Overall I would summarise by saying that its a decent place to be put up while in HK at the price point theu offer, but drastic improvement is...
Read moreThe hotel is in a middle of a very busy area, and about 15mins walk to MTR station. Quite a lot of small eateries intermingled with ‘back-yard’ factories of sort.
The hotel is 3-stars at best, suitable for a shorter stay. Or if you’re young and of the backpack generation, then positively luxurious 😅, and good value.
The “Comfort” room was extremely compact, it lacked adequate storage space, no proper wardrobe or coat hooks, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The bathroom was similarly small but serviceable, and the shower worked well if you don’t mind shower curtains.
Breakfast was included in my booking and labeled as a “continental breakfast,” but it turned out to be a mini buffet with a pleasant variety of fruits, pastries, dim sum, and Chinese dishes, an unexpected and welcome surprise. The filter coffee was awful, though there is a bean-to-cup machine available, which made a much better alternative.
Reception staff were not particularly friendly, especially one tall young staff member, they do do their job.
The breakfast area on the restaurant floor was open in the mornings, but during the day, access was blocked with a grubby sticker on the lift button claiming the floor was under refurbishment, clearly misleading. A simple sign indicating “Open for Breakfast times Only” would have been more honest and professional.
On a more positive note, the housekeeping team was friendly and efficient, keeping the room clean and tidy. However, cleaning is only provided upon request, so guests should be aware of...
Read moreHow is this a 4 star hotel?! This is just at most 1-2 star! So disappointing! Staying in the comfort queen room for $275 per night is probably one of the most ridiculous priced hotel I have stay by far in Hong Kong.
No pros and so many cons for this place.
Cons: bad view, seeing the back view of another building even though they said city view. noisy room (you can hear people walk in the corridor and door slamming to close) floor super dirty (there were biscuit crumps on floor) super small rooms (beyond a comfortable size for a family of 3) dirty bed (can feel bugs on hair and legs itchy in the blanket) tv faulty fridge is faulty and the screws can be seen as rusty toilet cannot flush properly shower area is so small it’s so ridiculous air con super noisy for a 4 star you will expect the necessities provided, but nope, you will need to pay for toothbrushes and vanity set in a vending machine downstairs. self service laundry is available at ridiculously high price. $8 for wash then $8 for drying too! Why will anyone pay $16 for a wash! room was faulty so we had to go down to ask for service, and after waiting for 20 mins, nothing came! So we had to call again for the room service. this room at most deserve a 1 star! Not a 4 star!!! Please think twice before booking this hotel! Don’t come if you wish to have a comfy stay, not worth...
