8/14/2025 Upon entering the lobby, I was immediately assaulted by an overpowering and cloying scent of perfume that felt almost suffocating. My stay in Room 1911 on the 19th floor, which set me back a staggering US$600 for four nights, left much to be desired. The room itself was disappointingly compact, and the bathroom evoked memories of a dilapidated public bathhouse from the 1970s. Its marble surfaces, while once likely luxurious, were now marred by years of neglect, coated in an unsettling amalgamation of grime and odors reminiscent of a bygone era.
In my humble opinion, the hotel’s charm is overshadowed by its need for modernization and a thorough cleaning. One cannot help but feel that for such a hefty price tag, one should expect not just a place to rest, but an experience that indulges the senses rather than assaulting them.
8/15/2025 3:33pm The air conditioning was impressively strong, though there was no way to adjust it manually. The TV was on the smaller side—I'd guess around 42 inches—but perfectly adequate. What really stood out was the WiFi: blazing fast, with a unique password assigned to each room. I didn’t expect that level of connectivity, and it turned out to be the fastest internet I’ve experienced in any hotel across Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Xiamen during the past ten days. Streaming 4K content on YouTube, Netflix, or Amazon Prime Video was smooth and uninterrupted—no buffering at all.
Although the room itself was compact, it was still a noticeable upgrade from the hotels I stayed at in Boston, MA. The bed was comfortable, and there were other room options available if needed. The complimentary breakfast offered a generous variety, and the receptionist was exceptionally courteous. All in all, a pleasant surprise. What more could you ask for?
8/20/2025 The breakfast images shared by patrons on Google Maps for this hotel appear to be more for aesthetic appeal than authenticity. A significant number of these photographs are staged, often sourced from different dining establishments, suggesting that the meals were prepared elsewhere and subsequently paid for. This practice is quite deceptive and presents a misleading portrayal of the hotel's offerings. It raises concerns about transparency and the integrity of promotional content in the...
Read moredeep disappointment and frustration with the lack of professionalism and service from the housekeeping and front desk management at your hotel. Throughout my recent stay, I encountered numerous instances of rude and unprofessional behavior from the staff, which greatly diminished my overall experience.
The housekeeping management and staff displayed a concerning lack of courtesy and professionalism. Despite my requests, the cleanliness of my room was subpar, and essential amenities were not replenished in a timely manner. The unhelpful and dismissive attitude of the housekeeping staff only added to my disappointment.
Similarly, the front desk management and staff exhibited a lack of professionalism and customer service. I encountered rude and unhelpful behavior when seeking assistance, and the overall lack of service from the front desk staff was unacceptable.
The cumulative impact of these experiences has left me deeply dissatisfied and has tarnished my perception of your hotel. As a guest, I expect to receive courteous and professional service, and it is evident that the management and staff in these crucial areas have failed to meet these expectations.
I urge you to take immediate and decisive action to address the issues within the housekeeping and front desk departments, as well as to implement measures to ensure that such unprofessional behavior does not persist in the future.
I hope that you will take my feedback seriously and work towards improving the professionalism and service...
Read more1st impression when arrived at the hotel was, it's a busy hotel in a busy district of Wan Chai. It's a bit dated, but renovation is taking place as I stay.Breakfast in the morning has plenty of choices, The dining room is massive.Afternoon tea starts at 3-7, which was more than enough of time .But the selection of food was another matter. From promotional video, there were more variations, like egg tart, tea cakes, and at the lounge, there're no cocktails as expected nor spirits drinks . Not even basic G&T , whisky sour. Only soft drinks ,tea, coffee, and choice of red and white wine. There's no staff in the lounge to facilitate guess needs .I have to check with the staff at the front desk to realise that changes had taken place in the past year. That's a big disappointment as I paid the extra to use the facilities and benefits which happened to end without notice nor compensation. Room is spacious and clear view ,partly Seaview.Plenty room for 1 person, and the air con was working perfectly until last night-my last night in staying. Around 03:20 ,I was getting up to go to the bathroom. Just then, I felt the slippers were getting wet. When checked ,realise that there's water leaking from the ceiling. I rang the housekeeper to report the incident. Maintenance staff arrived and fixed the leakage within a space of time, app.an hour. Overall, it's an experience. I wish they looked into my suggestions, and maybe I'll be back to...
