On paper, this was looking like another good stop on my Vegan exploration of Hong Kong, but I did not expect it to turn into such a wonderfully unique and insightful experience.
The menu options change daily, but do not head in looking for A La Carte options, as the set menu has been thoughtfully put together, with medicinal advice and input from healthcare professionals and using quality, sought out ingredients. Most importantly of all, each item from the digestive smoothie, teas and other meal and drinks choices have been balanced perfectly and for good reason.
Nothing is on the plate that isn’t to be eaten, including flower petals, the rind and skin of the fruit and much much more.
This will be my most memorable meal of 2018 to date, and I really left this dining experience feeling better on both the inside and out, and a bit more knowledgable about what I am eating and why.
Greenwood’s is difficult to find if you’re not used to Hong Kong, so look for the building with the street name in maps (carnavon) and it is found on level 13.
The internal ambience is one of the most peaceful I have come across, and the positive of the space is further boosted by the addition of a small health food shop...

The smoothie this day was banana, spinach, pineapple. Very hearty, not super cold or frozen, great consistency. It had to be one of the best ones I've had till date and looked super too. It was garnished with a blue butterfly pea flower leaf.
My salad was mixed greens, dragonfruit, cucumber, tomato, avocado and carrot shreds. Everything looked fresh, not dry, wilted, dehydrated. It was dressed with something that tasted like balsamic vinegar.
My entree of choice was buckwheat pizza. It was a mini piece of buckwheat flatbread (Indian style), topped with vegetables, including eggplant. Side was raw, tangy cauliflower which tasted very nice. I'd just about finished eating the cauliflower when I got those calls.

The seasonal green salad is fine as well, as is the Greenwood Signature Sandwich, although it has a less assertive taste. The coffee-chocolate cheesecake boasts a perfect balance between bitterness and sweetness, and its fresh and high-quality ingredients shine through. Good service and pleasant...
