Cabinas Eddy B&B — Attraction in Monteverde

Great service from the nice young guy “Eddie”—owner’s son, who works hard around the clocks, answered all the questions and helped with everything.

Room is tiny especially with two swing pods in the room, no shampoo and hair dryer in the shower, but felt new and clean.

There is Small refrigerator and two small bedside tables. You can view mountain, trees and street from the balcony. No elevator, maybe 10 steps up. There are a lovely cat “Cathy” and a dog” Molly”, very nice and welcoming. You order your own breakfast with egg and toast, fruit plate is fresh, coffee, orange juice, tea and milk are available.

Hotel is in the center, not on the busy street, but close to supermarket and good restaurants in town center just by walk 2 minutes,

Public bus station is cross street, you can ride to cloud forest.

The only problem is the noisy windy during night, but we maybe too tired,...

After a year of living in the Tamarindo area of Costa Rica, I finally visited Monteverde with my family.. Cabinas Eddy absolutely made our stay in this beautiful little old city such a joy!! The owner and his staff were some of the most helpful and friendly people we met while in Costa Rica, which is saying a lot!! The location is super convenient, just around the corner from the Main Street in town.. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed.. The breakfast, included with the cost of the room, was delicious and we looked forward to it every morning!! Our kids fell in love with the sweet little dog that lives here and had a hard time saying goodbye.. I am absolutely looking forward to our next trip to Monteverde and we will definitely be booking our rooms at Cabinas...

A lovely place to stay with lovely hosts Freddy and Shirleena. The rooms are basic but are clean with fresh sheets and towels.

There is also onsite parking availanle - although space is limited to maybe 3 to 4 latge SUVs.

There is coffee and tea available in the common area near reception pretty much all the time.

They offer a wonderful selection to choose from for breakfast (fruits, eggs, toast, pancakes with coconut maple syrup) and it is all made to order.

Freddy makes you feel welcomed when you check in and is happy to provide all information and help that you may require for your stay in Monteverde.

This was our first stop in Costa Rica and Eddys Cabinas helped start our holiday off on a high.
