Basilica of Sts Peter and Paul at Vyšehrad (Basilika svätých Petra a Pavla) is one of many attractions at Vyšehrad which is about 10 minutes walk from metro Station Vyšehrad. The Basilica is one of the most to visit place in Prague. Beautiful Cathedral with common historical identity and atmosphere which is a join walk and staying there for a while. These days before Christmas there is also Bethlehem artefacts, a small exhibition with Bethlehem figures relate to advent period before Christmas. Also was open a small exhibition of treasure at Basilica which was very nice touch, and the view (very close to basilica) from the place Vyšehrad on Prague is one of most visited places to look from the High on Prague city. Definitely Vyšehrad place is worth place to visit when you get to Prague.

I have been travelling through Europe and seen many different Basilica‘s and churches and this one was very beautiful. I like the Gothic architecture and we took a walking tour about the castle church and then the Charles Bridge. They talked about how the church halted construction for a long time and the church was slowly being built for many centuries and then they showed that the top of the church had different architectural styles like baroque and Renaissance I believe so it was really cool to see a blend at the top of the church as that was only church that I’ve ever seen of that before worth checking out and just being at the top of the castle area and seeing the Outlook of Prague is very beautiful.

The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul (Bazilika svatého Petra a Pavla) is located within the Vyšehrad fortress in Prague. Founded between 1070 and 1080 by King Vratislaus II of Bohemia, this church has undergone multiple reconstructions throughout its history. Initially built in Romanesque style, it was later rebuilt in Gothic style and finally in Neo-Gothic style by the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The church’s façade features three distinctive doors, which are quite remarkable. Behind the basilica is the Vyšehrad cemetery, the final resting place of many famous Czechs, including author Karel Čapek and composer Antonín Dvořák. It’s worth a visit if you have the time.

Founded in 1070–1080 by the Czech King Vratislav II, the Romanesque basilica suffered a fire in the year 1249 and has been rebuilt in Gothic and later in neo-Gothic style. The basilica features an impressive stone mosaic above its entry, and its twin 58 m towers can be seen atop a hill to the south from along the Vltava River in central Prague. Behind the church is located large park and Vyšehrad cemetery, the final resting place of many famous Czechs, including author Karel Čapek and composer Antonín Dvořák. In 2003 the church was elevated to basilica by Pope John Paul II. It was an amazing place for visit. There is a 3D view to extraordinary orang Prague roof😍

The St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Prague is a stunning neo-Gothic church located in Vyšehrad, a historic fortress overlooking the Vltava River. Originally built in the 11th century as a Romanesque basilica, it underwent Gothic and Baroque renovations before being transformed into its current neo-Gothic style in the late 19th century. The cathedral features intricate stained-glass windows, twin spires, and ornate interiors. It is part of the Vyšehrad complex, which includes historic fortifications, a cemetery where notable Czech figures are buried, and beautiful views of Prague. The cathedral is both a place of worship and a significant cultural landmark.
