A great company to book your walking tours with! They are organized and have lots of options for times of tours as well as different topics. I joined for two different tours- the Grand Tour and the Carlsberg City Walking Tour.
The Grand Tour was awesome all around! Rikke was an excellent guide with lots of useful tips and tricks for how to best enjoy Copenhagen. She had an engaging presence and great control over the large group throughout the busy streets. The 9:30 tour ended at noon at the palace, just in time to see the changing of the guards which was perfect timing. The website advertises 2.5-3 hours, but with the 15 minute break (for toilets or coffee etc.), it was closer to 2 hours. The route was well planned and it felt like we managed to go to a lot of different spots! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Copenhagen as an introduction to the city before you explore more on your own.
The Carlsberg City tour was unique and, as the description implied, focused a lot on architecture, history, and beer brewing. This neighborhood now feels very different from the areas visited in the Grand Tour and is more residential. Many of the "sights" are now apartment buildings, and it was difficult for me to imagine the area without the newer additions. This tour only lasted an hour and a half despite being advertised as 2.5 hours, and I personally found this tour less interesting. I think the contents of this tour were not topics I usually am interested in, but that's a personal preference. The tour guide Jack was knowledgeable and helpful!
Overall, this company is superb and definitely knows their stuff. Well worth it to book your walking...
Read moreMy father and I recently had the pleasure of taking the free Grand Tour of Copenhagen walking tour with Fran, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Fran's focus on sustainability was evident from the start as he led us through the streets of Copenhagen, pointing out the city's green initiatives and eco-friendly practices.
Fran was extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history, and his passion for sustainability shone through in the way he spoke about the various initiatives Copenhagen has implemented to reduce its carbon footprint. It was clear that he had a deep understanding of the importance of sustainability and was eager to share this knowledge with us.
Along with the Christian IV era highlights, he also discussed the lowlights of the Nazi occupation.
One of the highlights of the tour was the close-up view we got of the daily changing of the guards at Amalienborg Palace. Fran made sure we were in the perfect spot to witness this historic event and even gave us some interesting insights into the tradition.
Overall, Fran was an excellent guide, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Copenhagen. His dedication to sustainability and his in-depth knowledge of the city make for an incredibly enriching and insightful experience. I left the tour feeling inspired to make more eco-friendly choices in my daily life and with a newfound appreciation for the beautiful city...
Read more5/5 Stars – Jack the Ginger Viking of Tour Guides!
If Odin himself descended from Valhalla to show me around Copenhagen, he might come close to Jack. But only might. From the moment Jack met us with his windproof jacket, smug grin, and suspiciously deep knowledge of Danish pastry history, I knew we were in for a ride—on foot. Uphill. Both ways. In the wind.
Jack doesn’t just give tours—he sagas them. I half expected him to pull out a longboat and challenge us to raid a Swedish IKEA. He wielded facts like a Norse warrior wields an axe, throwing in dad jokes so dry they could’ve been cured with lutefisk.
Highlights included:
A passionate monologue about why Danes are emotionally stable (it’s the rye bread, apparently). An awkward reenactment of a Viking duel in front of an elderly couple eating smørrebrød. Telling us not to trust sunny weather—it’s “Swedish propaganda.” By the end, we were cold, informed, and full of existential joy. Would I take another tour with Jack? Absolutely. Even if it meant surviving another 12-minute rant about Danish bicycle etiquette.
Skål to you, Jack, may your beard grow thick and your jokes stay...
