I would give it three and a half (3.5) stars, but that's not allowed. Basically, the place has a lot of potential and the attendants are friendly enough and very attentive to families doing the tour independently. They helped us navigate around groups of school trips that were also visiting.
The good: very interesting museum of different subject matters. They have activities the kids can participate in and the staff seems genuinely interested in providing knowledge and insight for each exhibition they present. They are friendly enough and attentive towards families doing the visit independently. The exhibitions are all interesting for kids and young and old kids will genuinely be interested in asking questions about what's being displayed. It's not that big, but it's enough to spend a good hour walking and learning.
The bad: the upkeep is lacking. Seems that when this museum started it was beautiful and well kept, but it has been a few years since they've taken the time to freshen it up. Basically, it needs some TLC. If someone would take the time to freshen up the exhibitions and keep them well maintained, this place would be that much more enjoyable. I also think some additional information can be displayed in text as to allow kids who can read to learn more about what's being displayed.
Summary: overall, I would definitely recommend it for families with younger kids (2 to 7 years old) as I'm sure the kids would enjoy the exhibitions and it's a short enough activity that could be done as quickly as you want or as slow...

Read moreAs an educator of children for my entire adult life (I’m 40 years old), this place was disappointing. The tour is too fast, there is too much information for children, there is no time for the kids to explore or discover on their own (we got ushered from room to room quickly by the guide), and the guides never once asked, “any questions?” They have a script that they stick too and that’s it. This is not worth the...
