I do not recommend. They have 3+ staff members waiting outside with menus trying to convince people to come in. Once you sit down they ignore you, it’s really strange. The actual waiters are all grouped together talking to each other and ignoring their guests. It’s like they are way over staffed with people who don’t want to work. Even when I raised my hand and made eye contact the staff continued to talk to each other, this was after I was seated for 10+ minutes without even having our drink order taken. When we ordered we had to ask 10 min later where our drinks (beer) were, the person who came up had to ask me again what food we ordered. Like the first waitress just didn’t put in the order she took. The food was mediocre at best. The Mofongo tasted like it was sitting out all day. 100% a tourist trap, 100% go somewhere else. The hotel I stay at when I come to the colonial zone gives a free breakfast at this place and it is very good. In the morning the place is not busy so you get your food at a normal wait time. So for breakfast I would give it 4 stars. However it you come after breakfast and want the world's slowest, worse service then this is the place for you. I went twice and left both times after waiting over 15 minutes to see a wait staff person. The other problem I have is this place is in the tourist area of Santo Domingo and does not offer an English translated menu. How hard is it to laminate a translated menu in English. I realize it's the Dominican but this makes ZERO sense. Going to a restaurant in a tourist area should not be a task. The owners should try to accommodate their guests as best they can. I hate stupidity. And this is just plain stupid...

Decent breakfast. But the prices are high, because, for example, each cup of coffee is a separate charge, even the first. Paid over 800 pesos for a simple American breakfast. Service is horrendous. SO much time waiting to get the check, and then SO much time waiting to get my change. I agree with the reviewer who criticized management's policy of having workers spending their time and energy luring random pedestrians into the restaurant, then ignoring customers once they're seated. Tables are squeezed together. A cluelessly impolite person smoking a huge cigar and not controlling his dog was seated at the next table, inches from my seat.
