El Patio Culinario — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

This place is a scam (at least for tourists - even though one of us speaks perfectly Spanish). They have two different menus and the one they give at first is the wrong one and shows way cheaper prices. When we asked for the bill they suddenly announced that only the prices at the bar were valid. We had 4 mojitos and were supposed to pay 800 RD$. However, the final price was suddenly 1400.

It seems to be a tourist trap where they change the prices for "Gringos"...

Moreover, the service is slow and unmotivated.

It is not recommended to go there. The mojito itself was alright. This is the reason why the place gets 2 stars and...

Un lugar abierto, un patio~terraza lind@, amplio con sillas de varios colores, con columpio incluido, me recordó a algunos bares de Barna, me gustaría experimentarlo de noche. El servicio al cliente, excelente, creo que por esto les pongo 3 estrellas pues solo tienen una opción vegetariana (hamburguesa de "legumbres"), pero estaba buena, no entendí por qué no le ponen queso 😞 pues decía en el menú vegetariana y no vegana. Está bien para ir una vez o 2 o 3 😅

A nice and wide terrace, swing included. Reminded me some places in Barcelona. I'll try it at night with the hanging lights. Excellent customer service but they only have 1 veggie option (a "veggie burger") and doesn't have cheese on it although it says "vegetarian" instead of vegan... It's a cool place to hang and drink with friends I guess with colored chairs and the music...

Overpriced beers. Very bad quality meat in their burgers. Mediocre service. Mosquitoes. On the bright side, it has a nice patio, a swing, nice music, and they accept credit cards. Not somewhere I’d return, but not the...
