The entire tour was awesome. Be prepared to walk. Have a bottle of water and shade hat sunscreen and everything doe your comfort. My friends and I had our sneakers and back packs. We started from the beach side and walked through the town. You get to see the people in their own setting. The history behind every single building is awesome, really marvelous. David, the tour guide was good. He spoke in both Spanish and English. It was a lot to see... but it is appreciated. The cathedral was holy and sincerely a sight to behold. The prayer area and benches were excellent. The museum was spectacular. The ceiling roof painting was great. It showed the great history of Santo Domingo and the colonial area. The 1500 era history is a something else. Most of the people of Dominica Republic are awesome, kind even though I don't understand the language I was helped. I will definitely be revisting these places. The Christabol was very informative. The women street has a nice history. The guard at the museum were precise in the actions in their moves in...

There's no need to book a tour to go here. They have audio headsets that are included with admission and provide all the history and details at every step. There are numbers on the wall, you punch in the number as you walk to each and listen when ready. It's perfect, no rush and no bother with a large group. It was 100 Dominican pesos which is $1.65 US dollars. Remarkable. There's some good history in here. Each room is not overly filled but has...

This was one of the stops of our Santo Domingo day trip and it was my favorite part of the entire excursion. Our group split between two guides - one in Spanish and the other in English. Our guide from the museum was very detailed in his presentation and clearly very passionate about the different pieces in the collection.

I'm not sure what the cost of entry would be on its own but I would highly recommend making time to stop by...
