Stolting Tower — Attraction in Tallinn

A quick but lovely view over the old town – definitely worth the climb even if you're short on time. You stand up there, looking over the red rooftops, and for a moment you wonder whether you're in a fairytale… or just trying to forget about next week's tax deadline.

Now, full disclosure – I think I’m writing this review for the right tower. Tallinn has so many viewpoints that trying to pinpoint the exact one on a map feels like trying to solve a mystery without the mystery-solving part. But if this is indeed the Stolting Tower, it’s worth it. Originally part of the city’s 13th-century defensive wall, it now serves more as a peaceful place to admire the city than to throw boiling oil. :)
