One star - an optimistic rating. This restaurant visit was an exercise in patience, if anything else. Our experience began with an astonishing 40-minute wait just to receive water. Quenching our thirst was further complicated by the inexplicable lack of glasses; we were left to sip water from wine glasses as though we were in some sort of twisted fine dining parody.
When we finally did order, our hopeful anticipation was met with neglect. We were left cocktail-less, forgotten in the flurry of disarray that seemed to embody the spirit of this establishment. After an agonising 90 minutes and several pleas for attention, our food finally arrived. But, alas, they served us the wrong order. The chance for redemption was missed; we were forced to wait another 20 minutes while they rectified their mistake.
While bad days are universal, it was painfully clear that our ordeal was not an isolated incident. Echoes of discontent resonated from every table around us, an unsettling symphony of shared discontent. A restaurant, after all, is a place for communal enjoyment, but it seems we were united in our frustration instead.
Understandably, profits are essential. Yet, the chaotic disorganisation resulting from the pursuit of profits was shocking. It was a glaring illustration of the adage, "less is more." The end result was a complete and utter failure to satisfy the customer in any way - a benchmark in unpleasant dining experiences.
My heart goes out to the waitstaff who had to navigate this turbulent sea of disgruntled customers. Their tireless efforts amidst the chaos deserve recognition. However, it's unfortunate that the commendable efforts of a few couldn't save this catastrophic dining experience.
If there's anything to be learned from this regrettable adventure, it is this: the dining experience is about more than just food. It's about service, atmosphere, and the ability to make patrons feel valued. It's about being organised and efficient, and above all, respectful of the time and needs of your customers. Sadly, these are lessons this establishment has...
Read moreI live in Cannes and for sure I will never EVER lunch or whatever in this restaurant again.! I eat at the gourmet and starred restaurants and it's very rare to be charge for a Perrier at 10 € and a margarita pizza at 20€ at least is much more elaborate. 3 drops of Cote de Provence at 20€ ? I have a good glass of Chablis at the Carlton restaurant. I find it inappropriate and absurd to change the menu card because there is a congress. At this rate, this restaurant will close just like the Asian restaurant that was there before. A real tourist trap! 2 pizzas 44€ (margarita and Neapolitan that I threw in the trash) a Perrier, a Cote de Provence, a pineapple juice , total cost: 84€ Never again! The waiters were nice ,but the waitress who stares at you condescendingly. I thought that, i would not be surprised with Cannes, i was totally wrong . Sorry but : I do...
