Worst experience ever!! My fellow Indians would be aware that here in Berlin, we don't have much Bollywood or any Indian movies releasing here. So if there is one movie which we are looking forward to see in a "CINEMA HALL" we would not want it to be spoiled in any way. Me and my friends booked tickets for "CINEMA" here. We had a seat in row "13". When we reached the venue, our seats were changed to row "3" and our "CINEMA HALL" was the biggest surprise for us. It had just 8 rows in total and the screen was right in front of us. We didn't pay for this. We paid for a cinema, not a home theatre room. If we wanted that, we would have watched the movie at home not paid 16 euros for it! When we complained about this, the person told us all that according to the contract his job is just to show the movie. When we said that we will complain to the police about this, he was rude to everyone and said okay go on call the police or sue me or whatever but you cannot get the refund back. If our theatre was changed, it was their duty to inform us beforehand that there will be a theatre change. We could have cancelled our tickets beforehand and chosen a different cinema hall. I don't know about others but I wouldn't recommend my fellow Indians or other foreigners to go to this cinema, you can be an easy target of discrimination! If you plan to watch a movie, please go for the...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Berlin's Mitte neighbourhood, the Babylon Cinema is a true gem - a striking, listed building with charm and character.
In October 2023, I enjoyed attending the Way Up North international wedding photography convention in Berlin, a gathering of over 500+ attendees. With its warm personality, the Babylon Cinema provided the perfect venue where everyone felt comfortable and cared for.
With its beautiful lighting, the crisp, cool October days allowed me to capture some truly magical photographs of this remarkable venue. I was awed by how seamlessly 500+ people could move in and out of the venue, almost like a well-choreographed dance. And as if the day couldn't get any better, we bid farewell with a little party with colourful floating balloons.
Surrounded by various hotels and restaurants, this location is the perfect choice for hosting a grand-scale convention.
Thank you, Babylon Cinema, for making our experience truly unforgettable. My only regret is not capturing a nighttime photograph of this magnificent venue, but that just gives me one more reason to return.
A special thank you to Berlin, whose undeniable charm and vibrancy, combined with the great hospitality of the Babylon Cinema, made for a memorable gathering of 500+ wedding photographers from every corner of the globe.
Thank you, Babylon Cinema and Thank...
Read moreThe cinema is located in a nice location and is a part of Berlin's history. However, sadly i need to mention there are Rude people in the customer service: I bought two tickets for the Noir Marathon days before the main session, arrived earlier for one of the movies from yesterday and said "hallo", as usual, to be friendly with 2 of the people working there: they do respond, in a rude way, "what do I need?".
One of the persons working there came to understand what happened, the lady that was firstly rude was laughing and even suggesting that i should be answering her, not the opposite - not cool at all, not even educated as she suggested she's, i wonder if she didn't had education and also the other guy.
Germans "have an incredible" reputation in the customer service and depending of the way that you look, your experience will be really bad. Thanks a lot destroying my experience in the cinema, I'm not returning on it and they even didn't gave me the refund - let people stressed and thinking it's ok to watch the movie.
If you think to ask someone with Grobheit what the person needs instead of saying morgen, or other thing that sounds polite, don't work in customer service. Being direct has nothing to do with lack...
