Pretty impressive museum just off the Museum Insel. It usually has interesting exhibitions on aspects of German History not covered by the Topographie des Terrors or the DDR museum. More thematic in style it caters to those who prefer exploration of ideas. The exhibition space is large, airy and yet quite intimate. A definite plus is the cafe. Really lovely space and comfy chairs to swallow you up. More cake than you can reasonably contemplate in a week of visits.
