Allegretto Cafè im Neuen Museum — Restaurant in Berlin

An extremely disappointing experience, all because of one incredibly rude server. He was a middle-aged man with silver hair, and his behavior was completely unacceptable.

When we ordered an iced Americano, he kept asking confusing questions like, “Do you want an ice cube or ice cream?” even though we clearly said we just wanted an iced Americano. His tone was dismissive and impatient, which made the whole ordering process unnecessarily frustrating.

But the worst part was when we were paying. Instead of handling the payment politely, he slammed the POS machine onto our table and walked away. After we finished paying, he came back, snatched the machine, and threw the receipt on the table without a single word. It was so disrespectful and unprofessional.

I would never recommend this café to anyone. There are plenty of other cafés on Museum Island with much better service and a friendlier atmosphere. Save yourself the trouble and go...

I came for rhubarb spritz and a cake. Drink tasted like a lemonade and strawberry cake was super dry… The moment I asked for my check, waiter brought me a terminal with the amount I needed to pay on the screen and directly walked away from me. So I paid, I had a sign on a terminal „paiment accepted” and because he was gone I also walked away (as it was paid), but then he started to scream after me, in front of everyone, that I did not paid (!!!). I showed him the confirmation from my bank app but he said in his system he still see it as not paid. He treated me very badly in front of the rest of the clients, as I was a fraud! Eventually, he gave me my recipt, till the end claiming the payment did not went throught. Do yourself a favor - do...

What’s up with the service?? I was trying to order and the waitress kept ignoring me. After 5 minutes she finally came over and told me “you already ordered” and then turns out another waitress entered another table’s order wrong and put it on my table. Then a yelling match started to occur between the both, creating an extremely uncomfortable environment for everyone in the cafe.

She also chose to ignore our request for tap water and kept repeating “sparkling or still” in a very impatient manner, making us pay for water when we just wanted tap water.

The cafe wasn’t even busy…
