Takumi, situated in the heart of München, stands as one of the best Ramen restaurants that you will ever try. From the moment you step in, the vibrant energy is palpable, with the restaurant consistently drawing in a full house of eager customers.
The signature dish that I highly recommend is the Creamy White Tan Tan Men Ramen. It is emerged as a standout dish, marrying rich teriyaki notes with perfectly fried chicken and the velvety texture of a half-boiled egg. This exquisite ramen creation, alongside the Mala Paitan Ramen, attests to Takumi's commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional flavors, offering a unique and satisfying dining experience.
The appetizers at Takumi are equally noteworthy. The Edamame snack and the potatoes in a rolling pin for deep-frying provide a delightful prelude to the main courses. The Kabocha croquettes, featuring the essence of pumpkin, showcase the chef's skill in blending texture and taste, creating a delightful harmony in every bite.
Adding a touch of spice and tang, the Kimchi Spicy pickled Chinese cabbage complements the meal perfectly. The careful balance of flavors in each dish reflects the culinary expertise that defines Takumi's offerings.
In essence, Takumi is a haven for those seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience in München. The consistently full house is a testament to its popularity, and rightfully so. From the first savory sip of ramen broth to the last bite of Kabocha croquette, Takumi's commitment to excellence, epitomized by signature dishes like the Creamy White Tan Tan Men Ramen, makes it a must-visit for aficionados of...
Read moreI heard a lot of positive things about this place before I visited, described as one of the best ramen places in Munich, and boy was I disappointed!
We had to wait in the cold for around 45 mins to get inside, the waiting area inside fits 3 people maximum, the place is very crowded (I wonder why) and the tables are very small to the point it’s not comfortable anymore. The lighting and vibe felt like you’re eating in your distant friend’s kitchen.
The staff were not friendly and it felt like we were being rushed to eat and leave since the minute we sat on our table.
Coming to food, the presentation was ok, unfortunately though it was probably the worst ramen I’ve ever had in my life, the noodles were overcooked and sticky, the soup was tasteless, and the chicken and duck were chewy and they seemed to forgot to spice them. The egg, gyoza and kimchi were ok. The fried chicken had the same issues as the chicken in my ramen, probably cooked in the same patch because they tasted the exact same.
Overpriced for the quality and waiting time in return, top it off with weird opening hours and just an unpleasant vibe. Wouldn’t...
Read moreI didn't expect their overpriced ramen to be this bad, since the reviews seem to be good. And by bad I mean the broth was bland and flavorless. It seemed to have failed to contain even basic salt and spices. I usually enjoy the taste of vegetables in a soup, since they add natural flavor but the vegetables in their ramen did not taste like anything. Also they add only two(!) small pieces of chicken (which also did not taste like anything) and call it chicken ramen. The noodles were fine, but that's just 1 cent noodles. It seems like the owner is trying to save at any cost just to cover the rent of having a tiny restaurant near the center of Munich. Don't be fooled by the boho chic and the somewhat Japanese feel of the place. Would not recommend to anyone who loves ramen and happens to be in Munich. P.S. I had one of their "normal" chicken ramen without a soft-boiled egg and not their signature ramen which was sold out for the day. Also I didn't have to wait in a queue, it was relatively empty at...
