He was giving a speech on Kossuth Tér in the pouring rain, but the paper with his prepared remarks became soaked and unreadable...so instead, he delivered an impromptu speech that...

Bevallom, amikor szembetalálkoztam a szoborral, elsőre nem kapcsoltam, hogy George Bush az. Valahogy megfeledkeztem róla, hogy pár éve ő is szobrot kapott a Szabadság téren. Az első amerikai elnök, aki magyar földön járt. A szobor azt a pillanatot ábrázolja, amikor "az előre megírt beszédét összetépve szólt az esőben is lelkesen álló emberekhez". Igen, rendszerváltó hangulat volt, a történelem egy fontos pillanata, az Elnök, aki elhozta a szabad világ hangulatát, és együtt örült mindenki. Igen, jó lett volna akkor - 1989. július 11-én ott lenni ezen a beszéden!

Stosunkowo młody pomnik z 2020 roku, jest obok pomnika Reagana i ambasady USA, więc wszystko się spójnie łączy. Ładnie się prezentuje przy zdjęciach. Przechodząc tamtędy widziałem kilka amerykańskich wycieczek i za każdym razem był to dla nich to ciekawy element tego miejsca. Samo miejsce jest przepiękne oraz otoczone ładnie ozdobionymi budynkami.

Stosunkowo młody pomnik z 2020 roku, jest obok pomnika Reagana i ambasady USA, więc wszystko się spójnie łączy. Ładnie się prezentuje przy zdjęciach. Przechodząc tamtędy widziałem kilka amerykańskich wycieczek i za każdym razem był to dla nich to ciekawy element tego miejsca. Samo miejsce jest przepiękne oraz otoczone ładnie ozdobionymi budynkami.
