If u have time for just one bakery visit in buda..this has to be it. We went there 2 times n loved the stuff. Super fresh, u may have to queue up but it moves pretty fast.
Not sure they call it danish/roll : the main swirl round thingy stuff. Staff is excellent very patient n helpful. Would be great if they have english menu too. Price is slight higher side In general the buttery flakey pastries in any form are good here.. Toppings are a personal choice but try The pistachio raspberry roll/danish is just MIND BLOWING. Perfect sweet balance. If u reach just when the new batch comes in its even more crispy..
Their bestseller is mix berry with vanilla custard filling..it's very unique flavour with hint of spices. Great if u like unique flavors n yummy custard. But not as good as pista raspberry.
The chocolate walnut is very very very average, infact slight burnt nuts flavr, no chocolate flavr.plz skip.
The pesto, rucola, Tomato n mozz roll is mind blowing too. Must try..looks like a nest with eggs.
Egg frittata is good flavr balance, comes with yummm bread slice..but the pesto danish is better if u gonna eat just 1 savoury. Skip the coffee.. was ok for us. The focaccia n other sandwiches looked great too but we didn't have more time. 1 roll is about 1100-1200ft/ 2.5-3 €/ 440 INR Will be dreaming about the pistachio raspberry roll for a...
Read moreThis place is easily the worst bakery I have ever been to. I came here expecting good quality because of all the reviews and I because on many places on the internet it is mentioned as the best one in the city. When I got there, the pastries and bread didn’t look so fresh but we decided to give it a try anyways. And we were right, the things we had were definitely not fresh, were super dry and the taste was nothing special. On top of that, I asked them if they also did the Chai Latte cold - it is summer and it is hot outside. They told me they also do them cold so I asked for that. At first they totally forgot and brought me a hot one. I had to remind them I asked for a cold one, which they were happy to change. When the cold one arrived, I was just shocked. It was barely a Chai Latte and it was literally a cup of warm milk (the kind you would give to a baby or a cat), not cold at all, no taste at all. I would like to think it was bad luck but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at all. Avoid throwing...
Read moreHands down one of the best bakeries in Budapest! It’s no surprise there’s always a line outside, this place is that good. They offer an incredibly wide range of pastries, including some savory options and a few hot dishes made fresh. The ham & cheese sandwich, for example, is absolutely insane (but be warned: you might need a nap after!).
Their coffee is also solid, and pairs perfectly with their pastries. One of my all-time favorites is a poppy-seed-based pastry, kind of like a strudel, filled with poppy seeds. I don’t know the name, but trust me, it’s so good.
Their breads are just as amazing, super fresh and flavorful. I’ve heard they also serve a light lunch option during the weekdays that’s affordable and ideal for nearby office workers looking for a quick, satisfying meal. I haven’t tried it yet, but it always looks really good… definitely on my list for next time!
To top it all off, the staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience...
