A beautiful place that hosts the city’s cultural events including concerts and social gatherings. There’s a tourist information center that provides free information. There is a quality arts and crafts store located within the info center. Off to the side, there’s a mini art gallery from local artists. If you’re hungry and want a break, there’s a cafe on the other side of the info center. The building inside is stunning with wood incorporated to the modern design. It also has toilets which is useful.

Very beautiful architecture! You can get city information such as city map and ways to see. In front of the building on the street, big bus SBA 79 am 11:00-13:20will take you to the godafoss waterfall and back, you can spent almost 1.5 hours to explore waterfall area. It is better to buy the ticket before hand if happen to have two cruise ship arrive at the same day. You also can take free shuttle bus with yellow color one in front of the building to have a round city tour.

We stopped to admire the building! Beautiful modern building located right on the water front! It was closed when we arrived but we still enjoyed the outside views! Appears to have shows and performances in here!

Ein beeindruckendes Gebäude bei dem die Architektur im Vordergrund steht. Schön ist dass für die Aussenhülle des Gebäudes regionale Basaltstehlen verwendet worden sind. Diese wurden so zugeschnitten, dass die Schnittflächen nicht sichtbar sind. Das Foyer war sehr großzügig ausgelegt. Die Betonflächen waren zum Teil mit einer sehr schönen helken Holzverkleidung versehen. Auch die massiven Holztreppen tragen zu einem warmen, freundlichen und einladenden Ambiente bei. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Alles in allem ein gelungenes Gebäude. Energetisch hätte man sicherlich noch etwas hinsichtlich der Fassaden Dämmung machen können.

Friendly people with a small comfortable ship instead of the fully packed commercial compagnies. You drive by bus to a small harbour close to the sea and whitin 15 minutes we saw the first whale!

Very useful place to buy mementos and get maps and tourist information, plus the bathrooms are clean! I didn't have data on my phone, so their advice on local buses was really valuable.
