The church was built in 1851/1852 by the British Government and can accommodate over 700 people; it was primarily built for the benefit of British troops stationed in Bengaluru. This church was built and equipped with finest of the materials available at that point of time - with English Renaissance style architecture. The church is a major landmark in Bangalore featuring several murals, statues and artifacts of historic importance. The church bell was cast in Mears Foundry in London, the pipe organ was also imported from London. Genrally, Mass timings: 6:30AM and 6PM daily; on public holidays at 9AM.
