Sedona spa in ubud was likely the worst spa experience I have had. In the middle of a 1.5 hour massage to be followed by a mud scrub and bath with my partner the therapist starts talking. About me paying and the prices and am I ok with that price... in the MIDDLE of the massage. Not before or after. It’s even worse that this was my partners first massage ever and it was a gift from me to him so they are bringing me out of the massage experience to ask me about payment right in front of the person who is getting it as a gift. And I had booked online so they had my treatment requests in writing so I don’t know why she was confused about the fact that I had book 1.5 hours instead of 1. And we had discussed at the beginning that it was 1.5 hours and how I wanted more time on my neck and for my partner to have more time generally over the whole body. In the end we didn’t get what we had requested. My neck was barely touched and they just spent a lot of time gently going up and down the spine. Technique was also not great. They almost hyper extended my elbow and my partners knee by pushing down on them. But this lack of awareness doesn’t surprise me as they were chatting and laughing between each other during the massage. No spa music so this was what we had to listen to while we tried to get a massage. On top of this, when the scrub was done and they asked us to start showering the therapist wouldn’t leave the room to give us some privacy to take off the plastic underwear they gave us, even after I asked for privacy she continued to clean the room. Cleaning the room should be done after guests leave in my opinion. During the massage they also tide my hair up with a rubber band that pulled out my hair trying to take it out. And during our bath the therapist came in with fruit and ginger tea, which I was excited about until it had ants on it and she just killed them and smeared them off the watermelon with her fingers... gross. I told the front manager when I went to pay, he said sorry and they would need to provide more training, gave me a small discount of the taxes off the price. But for a massage and spa on the pricier side for ubud, which I went to to get better quality service and massage technique, it was poor quality on both. 620k idr later I just wasted a bunch of money and time and my partner is sore from the massage and my elbow is still in pain. I highly do not recommend this place, looks nice but...
Read morePaid in full for the royal package but didn’t have it completed. I was literally getting mosquito bites the entire massage and I said something multiple times. My first bites after being in Bali for 2 weeks and going to other spas. I could not relax or enjoy, it was as if she was massaging the bites into my body. Now it’s the day after and I have over 15 bites and had to take an antihistamine, which I don’t do medicines. Such an uncomfortable painful way to end the year. If this space is Not going to have citronella or lavender burning or the right plants around table to avoid these things, they should at least have beds with mosquito nets as an option. There’s no way the representative didn’t see this happening, I should have left after I said something after the first bite. But as soon as she asked me to flip over on my back, I felt my skin burning and immediately...
Read moreI am giving 2 stars, not 1 only because my boyfriend, as he liked the massage, however my experience was a waste of time and money. We went there at 15:40 and I asked for 1 hour balinese massage , body scrub and bath after , they prepared the room and when we entered they asked me to have shorter massage because we need to finish at 5:00 as they are fully booked at that time. So I ended with a 20 minutes full body massage and 40 minutes flower bath.. You can imagine this is less than 2 minutes per each part of your body.. The worse was that they wanted me to pay the entire price for this package - 210k and when I complained about this they made a discount only of 30k.. and guess what.. It was 5:00 pm and nobody came, but it was supposed to be...
