INSANELY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE - DO NOT VISIT DURING PEAK HOURS
With tickets already in hand we arrived at the station at 4:35pm to make our ship at 5:15pm. Mind you the walk down from the mountain to the ports is just 20 mins, and the funicular ride is supposed to take about 3 mins. The line was insanely long inside the station, which was not made apparent when viewed from the outside. We ended up WAITING FOR 35 MINS inside the station until we could get into the funicular. The funicular itself was very small with only a few seats. It was definitely inadequate to accommodate the amount of visitors they get. We ended up missing our ship. :(

Then the woman who took my ticket scanned it without telling me it was closed and a shuttle bus was available instead. I was just on a bus and I took a detour just to go on the funicular. Had I known it was bus only to Capri, I never would’ve bought a ticket. I explained to the ticket booth worker and he refused to refund me even tho he sold me the ticket one minute beforehand. Luckily we knew we had to buy tickets, but still the place was not easy to find, one sign after walking for a few minutes are the only instructions we had.
