Dining at Pulalli on the beautiful island of Capri is an experience that transcends mere eating. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by breathtaking views of the Marina and the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea. The warm Mediterranean breeze mingles with the rich aromas of fresh, local ingredients, setting the stage for a meal you'll never forget.
The service is warm and attentive, with staff who are eager to share the island’s culinary treasures. The menu is a tribute to Capri’s bountiful nature, but two dishes stand out above the rest. The burrata here is like nothing you’ve ever tasted—rich, creamy, and decadently smooth, it’s the best version of this delicacy you could ever imagine. Paired with a drizzle of the island’s finest olive oil and fresh basil, it’s a bite that takes you straight to the heart of Italy.
Next, the beef filet arrives—juicy, perfectly seared, and unbelievably tender. It practically melts in your mouth, with a depth of flavor that speaks to the high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. The char on the outside offers a delightful contrast to the rich, buttery interior. It’s comfort food elevated to a whole new level.
The setting at Pulalli is charming and inviting, with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that reflects the island’s blend of sophistication and laid-back beauty. Each dish, from the seafood to the handmade pastas, showcases the island’s natural bounty, but it’s the combination of flavors—bright, bold, and fresh—that truly captivates your senses.
As you finish your meal, you can’t help but feel like you’ve just experienced something unforgettable. The food, the views, and the service all come together in a perfect harmony, making Pulalli a must-visit...
Read moreHere's a quick update from our AWESOME meal here this past week. It just keeps getting better! Alessandro did a fab renovation of the space in the off-season and it is even more lovely than before, and the food continues to be incredible. This time we had the (sorry I don't have the exact name) a dish of smoked fried cheese w/ peppers on a bed of green veggies and a cool take on cacio y pepe topped with truffles. Both were superb! Go! (the balance of this review is from all the excellent meals we've enjoyed here in the past!) OK…mind blown! We have loved coming to this awesome & cozy spot at the top of the clock tower for years. So when we heard the always charming owner Alessandro has a new chef & of course a new menu we were both intrigued and a little worried, as we loved so many dishes there. Well, the verdict is….IT IS BETTER THAN EVER!! In addition to Chef Roberto’s new food, Alessandro did a great renovation that really opened up the space, and made everything even more bright and attractive. It’s a great and creative menu, but we started out with the more traditional dishes. We began with the caprese salad, with top-quality bufala DOP and the sweetest cherry tomatoes ever. Then we ordered the chef's special pasta - homemade ravioli stuffed with bufala ricotta, marjoram, local tomatoes and topped with 24-month aged parmigiano. Sublime. Next, we loved the gnocchi alla nerano which I could eat daily. Lovely tender pasta with a rich yet subtle zucchini cream. They also have an excellent wine selection, great ambiance and the people here are so nice - Claudia, Luigi and the chef Umberto make any meal here very...
Read moreThe only good thing was the nice atmosphere. In terms of food this place was extremely disappointing. The food was not similar to most photos (only 1-2 photos show the foods from the revised menu). I asked and they told me they changed their menu. Their menu is very short only 2 pages. We ordered the benzotto egg - this only looks good. It has zero taste and its very expensive . We puta lot of salt and the oil and balsamic vinegar that was on the table to give it taste. We also ordered the mozzarella salad - that was also disappointing. The salad again had no taste, the cherry tomatoes could have been sweet but were not, they tried to put some sort of green oil but again that gave no taste. The buratta was good. Then the main dishes came. My husband’s steak was good. It came with a little onion chutney which was good and some sort of sweet potato mash. The mash was not good at all it was watery and had very little flavour. My dish was a disappointment in many ways. It was the Bacala dish. The fish was once again with no taste and even worse it reminded me of frozen fish fingers - only those have much more taste. It was served with some lettuce or rocket without any effort to top them with a sauce. The fish itself was served with some cheese sauce; only that cheese sauce had a more yoghurt-y flavour, very light flavour, and it didnt go with the fish at all. For the prices paid for these plates these should have been at least of a good level. Very disappointing! Would not...
