I can’t tell you how Naima Lounge has been a breath of fresh air, the best customer service we experienced in Italy in the past 3 weeks. To be honest my wife and I been a bit frustrated with some of Italy’s hospitality in our month travelling around Italy. Eating here tonight has certainly restored our faith. The whole team has amazing customer service, attentive, caring, funny and warm. Now let’s talk about the food, they of course had amazing food! Our meals come out in great time and the atmosphere was wonderful. If you have a dairy allergy or vegan/vegetarian they are accommodating to your needs. Best to book ahead I think in busier times but we just walked in and we were looked after straight away. This is after being turned away by two other restaurants earlier. The only annoying thing was the buskers insisting on playing music to every restaurant on that strip, while we are all eating. (Same guys on our train trip earlier that week that wanted to poach us for money) but that’s not the restaurant’s fault at all, just’s probably part of the Naples region. I would 110% recommend people to eat here! The staff even gave us some tips on travelling around the region to beaches and taking a ferry to Capri.

We ate here thrice in May 2023, reeled in by their catch-of-the-day, which was fresh crab served with pasta. The crab was consistently fresh, tasty, and brimming with fat. We spent a good amount of time pulling the crab apart just to get every piece of meat, given the space by the wait staff to enjoy our meal without feeling judged or pressured. We tried different pasta dishes, each one simple but delicious. Every meal ended with a serve of the most delicious, cold limoncello, which was home-made apparently! A nice way to clean the palate, their limoncello definitely made converts of us and we've gone on the hunt for something that tastes similar to bring home. The wait-staff were always friendly, patient, and accommodating. We always felt welcome, and they attended to every request. Naima Lounge is easily accessible from Sorrento Apartments, and one can enter from the inside, which was very convenient as it was raining non-stop when we were there.

This restaurant was the best we had in all of Italy on our 10 day trip. The food was exceptional. We got the octopus for appetizer and it was so flavorful and just delicious. I got the clam pasta and my husband got the lobster which was recommended to us by the waiter, Antonio. Both were top notch. Ee also had the steak and it was amazing. We were full but Antonio recommended we try their special in house lemon dessert, and it was the best I’ve ever had. I’m usually a chocolate gal, but I absolutely loved the lemon cake. Must try! The waiter then got us some limoncello shots on the house. The place was beautiful, the service was amazing, and food was the best we had in Italy. Antonio made sure we enjoyed our food, he made great recommendations and was just wonderful! Thank you for the amazing experience!

While trying to find a restaurant that served cacio e peppe, we were greeted by eager staff who insisted the chef could accommodate our request even though the dish wasn’t on the menu. That's where the customer service ended. Our waiter was very arrogant and told me the way I wanted the meal was “weird”. He insulted my husband when my husband said he wanted a red wine and then accidentally ordered, “Sauvignon Blanc”. He was having a hard time retrieving Cabernet Sauvignon. At any rate, the rudeness continued as I sat and watched this same waiter eye young women up and down as they walked by. It made me uncomfortable. The last straw, was when the waiter left us sit far too long without bringing our check. It was to the point of it being ridiculous. He knew we were finished for 30 minutes and joked around and watched the young girls walk by. My husband didn’t want to say anything, but in a city where there’s literally a restaurant at every turn, we shouldn’t be unattended like that. With all that said, the food was amazing. Portions were small, but tasty. Too bad the service...
