The largest, bustling sheltered shopping arcade in town, with lots of shops catering to both locals and tourists alike. There are a lot of eateries and cafes, as well as souvenir shops selling Kagoshima-specific stuffs.
It has a unique origin, being originally a site of a sun dial and astronomical observatory, therefore lots of the references of its past decorating the pavement and the ceiling of the arcade.
