A HIDDEN GEM IN KYOTO THAT STOLE OUR HEARTS! 🤍✨🥺
Today we had one of those experiences that remind you how special hospitality can be when it comes from the heart.
We stumbled upon this cozy, family-friendly restaurant in Kyoto and were greeted by the kindest woman we’ve met in Japan so far. Her warmth and genuine kindness made us feel like we were visiting a friend’s home rather than a restaurant. She immediately arranged a baby seat for our little one without us even having to ask — a small gesture, but one that says so much about the love they put into this place.
When we asked if they could make the iconic Japanese rice omelet with ketchup without meat, they didn’t hesitate. They prepared it fresh and with such care that we were honestly touched. And it was delicious — the rice perfectly seasoned, the omelet fluffy and comforting.
But what truly made our hearts melt was when she handed our baby a sweet little storybook — just like that, with a smile, no words needed. It was such a thoughtful detail that speaks volumes about how welcome children (and their parents!) are here.
The atmosphere? Dreamy. Gentle music in the background, bamboo trees dancing softly outside the window, and a calm vibe that makes you want to sip your iced coffee slowly and just be present. Whether you’re with friends, your partner, or your little family like us, this place feels like a peaceful hug in the middle of the city.
It’s perfect for brunch, breakfast or dinner — a place that fits all moments and all moods. And honestly? I’d come back a thousand times more, not just for the food, but for the soul...

I sat towards the back where the plants are and it was a lovely and serene spot to have a nice meal before checking out the temple...
