After we visited the art aquarium at Ginza, we strolled along to the famous GINZA SIX (4 mins walk) for a shopping spree and culinary experience. Ginza Six is a modern department store bringing together high end fashion brands and world class culture under one roof. You can explore a total of 241 shops and restaurants, a tourist information centre, a tourist bus bay, Ginza Tsutaya Books 6th floor, contemporary art installations such as the Teamlab waterfall wall and a traditional Noh theatre, last but not least an amazing roof top garden oasis with beautiful botanicals and water foundation for kids to play in it. During day time you can have a panoramic view over Ginza and beyond. In a rainy day you can still enjoy the serenity under the roof and listen to the soothing raindrops music. If you like to have a FREE sunset view, bring some snacks and drinks and come for an amazing evening date. Check the sunset time before you come. You don’t want to miss the sunset viewing. Take a relaxing stroll around the rooftop terrace in the midst of and above the busy Ginza area. Which is the quick way to get to the rooftop? take the south lobby lifts straight up to the roof garden. It will be perfect if you finish your shopping downstairs and come up to take a break and view the sunset. Then you can have two dining options to choose from: you can first explore the Ginza Grand Premium Food Hall on 6th floor and choose your preferred dining options amongst a variety of cuisine like Kobe beef, Hokkaido seafood and Akita Hinai-Jidori chicken. The Second option is The Grand Ginza on 13th floor. You can chill out and sip a glass of wine with some delicious snacks and admire the mesmerizing views at this enlightened zone. While we were at Ginza Six there was an art installation exhibition Big Cat Bang by Kenji Yanobe. The new art installation is installed to celebrate its 7th anniversary. You will see a pair of astronauts cats on board a vessel look like the Tower of the Sun in Osaka Expo 70. The art installation will be on display till summer 2015.
However if you still want to shop more after dinner, then you go across the street to the world biggest Uniqlo (12 floors) flagship store and shop till you faint. (Review of this Uniqlo store was uploaded earlier) Happy ending!
