Daikokuya Ginza — Local services in Tokyo

I just wanted to say thank you to Wong in Daikokuya who assisted me with some Hermes Kelly bags. She was so patient and not pushy at all. I had my eye on a Black Vintage Kelly 32, and went away to think about it after seeing it. It was also reasonably priced. I had already been to about 8 stores that day.

She allowed me to take as many photos as I liked to get it authenticated online (I used Real Authenticator which has a 1 hour turnaround time option and other options as well as LegitGrails). Vintage sellers in Japan have to be licensed to sell luxury goods second hand and the penalties are severe (loss of licence) if caught selling fake goods but I still wanted to be sure. It was fine, and both authenticators came back positive. They prefer Japanese sellers and if they take items from foreigners it has to be linked to their identification card like everything else in Japan. The system appears pretty robust.

When I came back two days later, she confirmed it was still available and there was now an Ostrich Kelly available that had just walked in the day prior.

They assisted me in making a choice, and then went out of their way to package the items carefully and gave me some concealed bags to protect against attraction walking back to my hotel. I am deeply grateful to them and will return again in future. They are honest and ethical and fairly priced. They do not sell or post items overseas for your information so you are limited to in person purchases.

I just wish they used Whatsapp as another method of communication but otherwise they were wonderful! I am very happy....

Visited this store today. I bought a pair of gold/diamonds earrings at very good quality and price 🥰 Their products are very reasonably priced. Products are from top quality brands. I also received Christmas confectionary as souvenir.

A side note - the staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. An incident occurred to me that I lost a stud of my earring earlier somewhere today. I suspect it was lost when I was fitting in a fashion boutique. Takako san from Daikokuya is very helpful that she called the boutique and confirmed the stud was found. She arranged efficiently with the boutique that I could pick them up in time. Thank you @Takako San so much.
