Rude JR Officer at Shinagawa Station, Toyko I arrived at Shinagawa Station on 31/08/2024 and planned to catch the Keikyu Main Line from Platform 2. I approached the officer near the ticket gate with a question about my paper ticket. Unfortunately, he spoke very little English and kept repeating Japanese phrases that I couldn't understand. To my surprise, he suddenly started yelling at me when he realized I didn't understand him.Feeling scared, I stepped back, but he continued to move towards me, still yelling in Japanese. This behavior felt completely unnecessary and only made the situation worse. He knew I couldn't understand him, and this approach did nothing to help. Read moreI came to this station in the morning. I planned to dump my luggage in one of their lockers that they advertise. It was not a public holiday or any especially busy day. Yes every single locker in the entire ststion (other that one 30cm by 20cm one) was completely full. I walked around the stationfor half an hour checking all the lockers while carrying my heavy luggage to confirm this. Other people were also hunting for lockers. Because of this I had to carry heavy luggage all day as none of my next destination stations had lockers (I knew this before the trip).
Clearly they need far more lockers if in the morning all are already full. Terrible.
Please seriously look in to buying more lockers, you advertise the service but clearly don't have...
