Very interesting museum about Latvian independence movement in 80' and 90'. Sadly is not so popular and widely known as another museums in the city :-( Well prepared for foreigners, all texts of exhibitions are available in English and Latvian language. We were only visitors an hour before closing and due to that we had a chance to discuss about exhibitions with very nice guy working here - awesome experience...

A wonderful museum set in the original Popular Front's building. Really kind staff. Some really nice interactive displays (in Latvian so I could only guess). If you have trouble walking up and down stairs it might be an issue. They are very narrow and curved. I was not looking for an elevator, but did not see one while...

Really good museum. Takes a different point of view to most of the bigger museums. Interesting to learn what else was going on during world wars etc and how latvian people responded. It's free and we'll worth a visit. They keep it interesting with different media, films, TV, phonecalls all have English...

Better museum than the War one imho . Exhibitions were more interactive and the story telling (communication of the history) was more organised and easy to digest. It's also free but better curated and less dull. It's a small museum so should be able to do in an hour or so . Staff were friendly .

Better museum than the War one imho . Exhibitions were more interactive and the story telling (communication of the history) was more organised and easy to digest. It's also free but better curated and less dull. It's a small museum so should be able to do in an hour or so . Staff were friendly .
