One of the oldest and most beautiful streets in Vilnius. It’s called Pilies (Castle) street not without the reason - it leads from one important place in the old town of Vilnius, the Town Hall, to another - the Grand Duke’s Palace, a.k.a. the so called castle. It’s full of beautiful historic buildings, walking down its cobble stone pavement is a history lesson of Vilnius & Lithuania. Every other building is of significant importance. Also, when walking down from the Town Hall, you can catch a beautiful sight of the Gediminas Tower on top of the hill. The street is a must visit site and you should read upon it beforehand!

Pilies Street (Pilies gatvė) is the main, historic artery of the Vilnius Old Town. It is the most popular street for visitors, running from Cathedral Square to Town Hall Square. It is celebrated for its ornate Renaissance architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Today, Pilies Street is primarily known for its numerous souvenir shops, cozy cafes, and traditional Lithuanian restaurants, making it the heart of the Old Town experience.
