Good place not good staff:!!!

The place is amazing — it's a great experience. However, the staff are so rude, dry, and very ignorant. They show zero care about customer satisfaction, especially the waiters. The manager lady was very nice and agreed to help us charge our phone, and Mr. Muhamed Khan from Bangladesh is also a really nice guy — welcoming and caring. But the rest of the staff were so rude, I felt really uncomfortable around them.

My friend was confused why the waiter refused to split the bill — they said “1 card only” in a very forceful way, not even allowing a cash split. Also she refuses to help us with charging a phone . Also One guy, a tall waiter named FTM or something, was super judgy and rude when I wanted to take a photo next to the apple display. He kept rolling his eyes, so I smiled and politely asked if it’s okay to take one photo. He said “No! Not now ” in a rude tone, like “get out already.” My friend came to take the photo for me, and he still kept that trashy attitude. It takes you 5 seconds to make a kind act and get a good review. And it also takes 5 seconds to ruin the whole experience. It was bearable for me through out the rudeness but this was the last straw. In general, the place is super cute, with great drinks — but the staff have no communication skills and no service etiquette. I expected a friendly environment, but I was honestly so disappointed.

Also, while I was taking a video and leaving enough space behind me for staff to pass, one guy kept walking through my video and interrupted it 3 times — it felt like he was doing it on purpose. There was enough space behind me for a big creature to run through, yet he still came up close, in front of my camera, shouting “excuse me” — even though he could easily pass behind. (This one was another asian looking guy i don't want to specify cause i didn't ask his name .

I understand there’s OTP and high demand, but you can still be nice — or at least pretend. This is a tourist area. People want to enjoy and remember the experience — not deal with rude staff, someone shouting in their video, and another waiter rolling his eyes at guests.

If you don’t want to work, go home — or at least smile and pretend you’re happy to be there. You’re getting paid for it. Otherwise, you’re not fit for hospitality. It’s about a smile, patience, and small acts of kindness.

I really hope management works on this critical point: be nice to your guests. The waiters and waitresses were terrible and clearly annoyed by us taking videos. But isn’t that the point of traveling 4 hours on a plane to come here? To have fun, enjoy, and make memories? Of course we want to take photos and videos to show our loved ones.

With all due respect, please...

4 buildings, each has the same menu. No reservations. Only eat here if 1) you have kids or 2) you are obsessed with 🎄Christmas (Nov-Feb), 📕Alice in Wonderland (Feb-Sep), or 🎃Halloween (Sep-mid Nov). Otherwise, just admire the outside lights and take your iconic photo 📾for free (closer to midnight, fewer people). Two stars because the dessert was awful & overpriced, but it IS a beautiful spot for small groups and kids.

✅ If you DO go inside, they don’t take reservations, so I recommend coming around 22:00 so you can take photos without people in the background at the end of your dessert or drinks.

❌ But we lived in Athens for 2 years and this is the worst dessert we ever tasted. The đŸ©donut was dry and crumbly. The 👠 Mrs. Clause’s Heel was low quality cocoa “mousse” covered in 2cm of pure icing, stuffed inside a white chocolate shoe that looked picture perfect but tasted horrid. An entire table couldn’t swallow a single bite of this €14 dessert. Wish we had just ordered đŸ«– tea (which looked lovely) or wine đŸ·.

❌ It’s filled with pretty decorations, yes. But it’s also filled with noisy, sugar-filled children. The staff do a good job keeping people at their tables, but that also means no wandering around taking photos (the main reason people come to Little Kook).

â™żïž Steep steps (call and ask if they have an elevator or can reserve a street level table on their small patio or inside. Lighting is medium. Noise can be loud with children. Music is low volume (we could hear each other talk). Cinnamon smell is very strong during winter season. They offer alcohol free drinks ✅

**Note to management: Please take the Mrs. Clause’s Heel off the menu. It’s that bad. Or change the description and take away the “chocolate mousse” that makes it feel like an adult might enjoy this item. Or have waiters warn people that it is a LOT of sugar. Also, your outside team is so cheery and wonderful. But inside team feels stressed and with all the kids trying to run around, I can understand why. They’re doing a good job, but it doesn’t make this place...

From the moment my family and I stepped into Little Kook, we knew we were in for a magical experience. Nestled in the heart of Athens, Greece, this unique and enchanting café managed to turn an ordinary day into an unforgettable adventure.

As we walked through the doors, we were immediately captivated by the café's extraordinary themed atmosphere. From the whimsical decorations to the carefully curated menu, it was evident that no detail had been overlooked. The variety of themes, ranging from Alice in Wonderland to Harry Potter, ensured that every corner of Little Kook was a delightful surprise waiting to be discovered.

But it was my daughter's reaction that truly made the experience unforgettable. She was absolutely enchanted by the fairy tale-inspired surroundings and couldn't contain her excitement as she explored every nook and cranny. Her eyes sparkled with wonder, and her laughter filled the air as she discovered new surprises at every turn.

As for the menu, Little Kook offers an array of delectable treats that cater to every sweet tooth. We enjoyed a delicious assortment of desserts, including their heavenly Nutella waffles and a mouth-watering Oreo cheesecake. Each dish was beautifully presented, adding to the overall enchantment of the experience.

The staff at Little Kook were truly exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure our visit was magical. Their warm hospitality and enthusiasm made us feel like we were part of the Little Kook family, and we couldn't have asked for better service.

Little Kook in Athens is a must-visit destination for families seeking a whimsical and unforgettable experience. If Barack Obama ever wandered into Little Kook in Athens, you know he’d be instantly captivated by the whimsical charm of it all. Walking into this enchanted cafe is like stepping into a fairytale—imagine Obama, looking around wide-eyed, saying, “This is like Alice in Wonderland meets Athens.” Every corner is filled with quirky decor, from over-the-top candy-colored walls to oversized teacups and magical lighting. It’s not just a cafe; it’s a whole vibe. As he sips on a latte shaped like a cute animal (Obama’s got that type of energy, right?), he’d probably get a little nostalgic about the places that mix creativity with culture. The desserts? Picture Obama smiling as he digs into a rainbow cake, remarking, “Michelle would approve of this level of sweetness.” It’s impossible to leave Little Kook without a smile—there’s something infectious about the place. The playful atmosphere is perfect for families, tourists, or anyone who wants to feel like a kid again. The food is indulgent, the drinks are fun, and everything about this place screams joy. Obama would definitely appreciate the creativity here. A whimsical, delightful gem in the heart of Athens that’s all about sweet indulgence and pure joy. Ten out of ten for fun, flavor, and fantasy.
