Located in the heart of Georgetown, Penang, Prangin Mall enjoys direct connectivity with all over Penang as the main Bus Stop is located in the mall. One can take the free-of-charge Rapid Penang CAT bus from anywhere within George Town’s UNESCO World Heritage Site to get to Prangin Mall. As most Rapid Penang bus routes on Penang Island pass through the Komtar bus terminal, Prangin Mall can also be reached via any Rapid Penang bus heading to Komtar. The mall was opened to the public in 2001 as Phase 3 of the Komtar project. The shopping mall faces competition from the newer 1st Avenue Mall, and today, Prangin Mall caters mainly to lower-income and middle-income earners. To add on, Parkson, its main anchor tenant, has closed its outlet within the mall. It has a total of six floors, including a sub-basement level Consider as an OG (original) classic and the earliest mall in Penang, Prangin Mall is linked to 1st Avenue and Komtar via connecting bridges but certain link bridge has since been closed especially from Komtar side. The mall offers affordable fashion options and coworking space for freelancers and entrepreneurs alike. It also has a convention hall for events. The central location and public transportation accessibility make Prangin Mall a very convenient destination for exploring the vibrant streets of George Town. The mall has been declining eversince due to competition from the other surrounding mall and due to its old age and facilities, much of shoppers has since migrated to other High end and more nicer malls (1st Avenue). The mall will always remain the OG mall in the Penang scenery and has since carved a name for it. The mall has its own multilevel and multistorey parking or you can choose to park at 1st Avenue and walk through the link. For tenant store wise, you can't expect much as it's an average normal mall but it's more in the focus affordable items especially for fashion and clothes, food and beverage and service. The mall most tenant is individual brand smartphone shop, smartphone repair and smartphone accessories shops. Theres no anchor tenant but theres a cinema located above the high floor. Overall, one could consider the environment inside to be 'an air conditioner coffee shop style environment'

Prangin Mall has many variety of shops and various quality of products that can be found here. I would like to mention how this mall caters to different budgets and tastes, with both international brands and local boutiques for the locals and the tourist alike. Highlighting the convenience of the mall's layout and the availability of parking or public transport options. If you've not eaten at the food court or any of the restaurants, you can try them. In this big mall are 4 different malls co located and close to each other. The good thing is it is close to the bus station. There are 5 levels in Prangin Mall, but many shops are observed closed. This mall is very clean and tidy, you can find the usual brands, but thing is there is no real atmosphere , not as vibrant as it use to be.

Prangin Mall in Penang is often considered not worth the visit as there isn't much to do or see. The mall features large empty spaces and a limited selection of shops, making it less appealing compared to other shopping destinations in the area. Given its location and the lack of nearby shopping attractions, the relevance of Prangin Mall is often questioned. To bring vibrance and attract more visitors, there should be efforts to introduce more engaging activities, diverse retail options, and entertainment facilities. Enhancing the variety of dining options, hosting events, and improving the overall ambiance could help make this mall flourish and become a more vibrant part of the Penang shopping experience.

I can't write a full review for you, but I can definitely guide you on what to include in a good one. For Prangin Mall, you might want to talk about the variety of shops and the quality of the products you can find there. Mention how the mall caters to different budgets and tastes, with both international brands and local boutiques.

Highlight the convenience of the mall's layout and the availability of parking or public transport options. If you've eaten at the food court or any of the restaurants, share your thoughts on the dining options. Was there a diverse selection of cuisines? Was the food tasty and reasonably priced?

Don't forget to touch on the atmosphere of the mall. Is it family-friendly? Is there a play area for kids? Are there any leisure or entertainment options, like a cinema or gaming zone? And consider the cleanliness and customer service, too.

End your review with any special experiences or unique finds that made your visit memorable. That personal touch can really help others understand what makes Prangin Mall...

Recomendado.

🌟 Positive review – Shopping mall in Langkawi

This mall is a great spot if you’re looking to buy or repair electronics, mobile phones, or watches. In our case, we replaced the battery of an iPhone that was almost dead, and they replaced it within 4 hours. Great technical service!

We also ordered two pairs of reading glasses for astigmatism, as we needed to update ours. They offered a great price, and the glasses were ready in just one hour, with excellent service and professional care.

You can also find some clothing, although the selection is limited. The main focus is clearly on electronics. Across the street there’s another mall with well-known brands like H&M, making this area great for shopping.

Right outside the mall, there’s an excellent restaurant called China Muslim Mee Tarik Tangan, serving halal Chinese and Asian food. Highly recommended. A perfect place to eat after shopping!

Sangat disyorkan! Tempat yang sempurna untuk makan selepas...
