Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur isn't just a night market; it's a sensory explosion. Stepping onto this vibrant street is like diving headfirst into a world of delicious chaos. Countless stalls line both sides, each one a treasure trove of unique and traditional Malaysian delights. A Seafood Symphony: For seafood lovers, Jalan Alor is paradise. We embarked on a grilled seafood odyssey, indulging in an array of freshly caught delights. From succulent fish to plump shrimp and juicy clams, each morsel was bursting with flavor, thanks to the skilled grilling techniques employed by the vendors. The aroma of sizzling seafood filled the air, whetting our appetites with every step.

Need a break from the savory? Jalan Alor caters to every craving. We found ourselves surrounded by stalls overflowing with fresh fruits. From exotic offerings like candied grapes to the infamous durian, there was something for every adventurous palate. And for those seeking a refreshing cool-down, stalls brimming with fresh fruit juices offered the perfect solution.

No Asian night market experience is complete without indulging in some sweet treats. Jalan Alor doesn't disappoint in this department either. We were mesmerized by the sight of smoked marshmallow ice cream, a truly unique and visually stunning creation. Local Malaysian desserts, with their vibrant colors and intricate flavors, beckoned us closer. We also couldn't resist the allure of the coconut shell ice cream, a refreshing and traditional treat. And for those with a more Western palate, there were plenty of pastries and tarts to satisfy.

But Jalan Alor is more than just food. The atmosphere is electric. The entire street is brightly lit, creating a lively ambiance. The air hums with the chatter of vendors and excited customers, a symphony of languages and cultures. The flames and fumes rising from the grills, along with the aroma of spices and sizzling meats, further set the mood for a truly unforgettable night experience.

Jalan Alor Night Market is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of Kuala Lumpur's vibrant street food scene. With its endless variety of unique and traditional dishes, fresh fruits and juices, and an atmosphere that's both lively and delicious, it's a feast for all five senses. So, grab your adventurous spirit (and an empty stomach!), and dive into the culinary chaos that is Jalan Alor.

This area in mco period is really quiet, i used to eat crabs here cause most of the restaurant serves crab in whichever way u prefer them to cook. Just the price range is above average. Well if u have been there u know u need to bargain. So there i was staying in one of nearby hotel, i went out to find dinner, and my eyes shocked looking at the area usually crowded with people and now clear from all the tables except temperature reading and qr code stand infront of their shops. Most of the owner called out for me to taste their food, and ive been there so i wanted to go to my usual shop which is at the end of reaching jalan pudu. But one of the auntie (middle shop) stop me and direct tell me "here crab cheap cheap" its like she read my mind, oh god. She offered me 2 small mud crab (normal size) price at rm44 each, so i take the offer, than i asked to add up some kangkong belacan and 2 rice, she said okay sum sum all RM104. Then there is the chance to bargain to get nett RM100, so i ask and the auntie just let me to enjoy her cook with that price. Love u auntie. If u guys around there, hopefully just try some. We all suffer together in this mco. What u give u get back. Surely i will come back again soon. Thanks again auntie, the middle shop, i forgot to snap her pic. But heres the cook from her shop. Ps its really hard to get that price...

Crazy and amzing food variety. Very happening place to visit. You can find almost all types of food. recently had the pleasure of visiting one of the best food streets offering a mix of Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, and seafood dishes, and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. The vibrant atmosphere was filled with the aroma of sizzling woks and grilling seafood, instantly drawing you in. Every stall seemed to offer a unique dish, from Chinese dumplings, Thai green curry, and Malaysian laksa to the freshest seafood like grilled fish, prawns, and squid. The seafood was incredibly fresh, often prepared right in front of you, ensuring rich flavors and a delightful presentation.

The Thai dishes had the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy, while the Chinese offerings were flavorful and rich in variety. The Malaysian dishes stood out with their complex use of spices, providing an authentic local touch. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was served hot and fast. The street also had a bustling, friendly vibe, with locals and tourists mingling together, enjoying the variety of flavors.

The prices were reasonable, making it an ideal spot for anyone wanting to sample different cuisines without breaking the bank. For food lovers, this food street is a must-visit, offering a true taste of Asia in one lively,...

Got a Grab taxi here, dropped off at the massage shops, where we were greeted by touts to get us into their joints. Entered the famous food street, bombardment of senses, visual, smells and Smokey atmosphere. Again touts trying to entice you into their establishments to gain your business. We walked right to the end, and had a Ramily Burger, waited for about ten mins, we were the only customers there. Sloppy burger akin to a Five Guys but the patties weren’t as good quality, mixture of sweet and chilli flavours, messy but enjoyable, namely the half cooked omelette which hugged the patties. Bit a bad start. Then we went to a Chinese restaurant, renowned for its soya sauce bbq chicken wings. Very Smokey flavour but average at best. The grilled ray fish, quite salty, but enjoyable with a hint of ammonia smell. Greens similar to Chinese spinach in a Malay sauce, prawn paste. Kai lan veggies with garlic. Portions reasonable, taste ok. Hokkien noodles, sloppy, wok hee, smokey, sweet soya sauce, average taste again. Satay mixed meats, meats were mixed with thick bits of fat, very sweet, not what we’re used to. Satay sauce lacking in peanut paste. Overall disappointed with the experience, would not go back.
