Stayed at the Colony for 1month in February as Canadian travellers. We booked through Agoda. Agoda reviews may well be skewed to favorable as they benefit from properties getting booked. A quick review of Google shows other's experienced our same concerns with the property. The room featured in Agoda was taken with very misleading angles creating an impression it was bigger than the shoebox it was. The building as a whole is in need of a deep clean versus the surface clean it receives daily. I would categorize the building as a cheap hostel environment overrun with short term rental visitors and a more economically minded tourists resembling backpackers. The building often, as others indicated, has a foul sewage stench from lobby to the rooftop pool, originating from a drain issue. The pool area has limited, always occupied seating, especially in the evening when those afraid of sun surface. Pool deck from the pool itself to the elevator is a constant safety slip hazard as staff are not on hand at all pool hours to mop up the excess water. A guard sits there monitoring at all times and could be charged with running a mop or squeegee across the area. Outdoor and indoor showers have broken knobs the whole month making them unusable for the most part unless you had a hack. The men's toilets are absolutely disgusting smelling of urine all day. The security guard always has running arguments with the sheer number of short term visitors over wearing too skimpy a bikini, to wearing non approved swim wear and idiots standing or sitting on the pool's infinity edge. It was quite comical at times. They also are strict clearing the rooftop in the event of a thunderstorm and lightning even though much of the area is sheltered from above. The gym facility appears to have air conditioning that either is set too low, doesn't work or struggles with the temperature to make the gym in the slightest enjoyable during a cardio workout. The room is capped at seven participants yet never enforced. Abundance of very young gym bro's who hog equipment, sit on equipment shouting on their phones all of certain ethnic background. Equipment is satisfactory, however for the entire month, one treadmill of four was always in broken condition. The elevators may be a concern to some. There does not seem to be rhyme or reason behind how they move between the floors. Even if we were going up we went down when catching elevators as you may stand five minutes waiting for one of the four elevators as it bypassed the lobby on the way back up. One elevator was down for three days during Chinese New Year with high capacity. Front steps of the residence have multiple broken tiles and the garbage bin out front was always overflowing. Building is noisy and loud as the hallways and surfaces are all tile which conveys noise easily .Room doors do not muffle noise. Again the interesting make up of the building inhabitants has a lot of early morning movement and noise not conducive to a late morning sleep in. The positives. The pool view is fantastic and spectacular. The building is right across from a wonderful mall. Quill Mall has a great food floor in the basement, fantastic cheap grocery store in the basement too. A good range of cheap shops, hairdresser and clothing stores plus two discount stores. Base of the Colony is a great laundromat with wash and fold service or do it yourself. Two convenience stores including a 7/11. There is also a small eating establishment with Shawarma in one of the two stores. In the surrounding streets you will find local food galore, western style food cooked by Malaysians at high standard(Try the food stall Hungry). Monorail stop access is within the Quill Mall enabling you to reach the tourist area of Bukit Bitang in under ten minutes for under a dollar Canadian. You can also access a rail stop within ten minutes walk from the Colony. The location is a central spot to the majority things like the Twin Towers, Batu Caves, Chinatown, KLCC and many other malls. The location is...
Read moreThis has been one of the most unpleasant condo apartment stays Iâve ever experienced. From the moment I checked in, the room conditions were unacceptable â the floor was sticky, there was a foul smell coming from the drainage, and the sofa had an odor that made it unusable. It was clear the room was not properly maintained or cleaned before my arrival.
But what truly ruined my stay was the attitude of the customer service. When I raised these issues, instead of showing concern or offering solutions, the staff were rude and dismissive. I was even told by INNA that âdeep cleaning would be pointlessâ because the problem was the drainage â an incredibly unprofessional and careless response to a guest who was simply asking for help.
All throughout my stay, the drainage continued to stink, which not only made the environment unbearable but also started affecting my health. The only âsolutionâ given to me was an air freshener, which didnât help at all â in fact, it only made things worse by masking the smell temporarily while the stench from the drainage lingered and grew stronger. This response shows a complete lack of care for guest comfort and wellbeing.
On top of the room issues, I also experienced unfair treatment at the pool. I was told by the security guard that I could not swim in a two-piece bikini, which I respected. He added that if I wore shorts over my bikini, I would be allowed in the pool. However, when I followed his instructions, the same guard whistled at me, called me out of the water, and even took down my unitâs registered name, accusing me of not listening to him. What makes this worse is that I personally saw other ladies wearing the same type of bikinis being allowed to swim freely without any issue â not only during this visit, but also on previous occasions at both Block A and Block B pools.
The inconsistency and selective enforcement of rules felt unfair and left me feeling singled out and uncomfortable. Rules should be applied equally to all guests, not selectively enforced depending on who you are.
The only nice staff I encountered during my stay was RUBEN from housekeeping. Even though he could not speak English, he genuinely tried to help me with sympathy and kindness regarding my concerns. His effort stood out in contrast to the dismissive and unprofessional attitude of others, and I truly appreciated his sincerity.
Condominium/Hotels can have maintenance problems, but what matters is how staff respond to guests. In this case, there was no effort to make the situation better, no accountability, and no courtesy. The lack of respect and hospitality â especially from INNAâ was shocking. I left feeling not just uncomfortable with the room, but also extremely disappointed by how little value was placed on guests.
Guests deserve far better than this. If you are expecting professionalism, respect, consistency, and even the most basic standards of comfort, do yourself a favor and stay...

I recently stayed here for one day. It was actually an apartment, but the host/owner marketed it as "The Infinitum Kuala Lumpur Skypool Hotel" on Booking.com. The guy who greeted me and showed me the room is called Fawad. I am not sure if the owner's name is Tasrifa, because it says in their WhatsApp message, "Regards from the Infinitum Luxe Skyscrapers by Tasrifa." I was staying at unit number A8-09. Worst experience ever. Smelly pillow (honestly, the smell kinda came not only from the pillowcase, but the core of the pillow). It smells like it has never been washedâsome kind of strong hair gel smell for men. I couldn't sleep that night, honestly. I was super tired from my journey and couldn't sleep!!! Not only the pillowâthe bedsheet was full of stains. And the duvet cover as well!! The towels also smelled weird! I really needed to shower, so I had no choice and used one of them. Honestly, I felt disgusted with myself afterward! And the worst part?? They posted a review on my behalf on Booking.com (how the hell did they do that???), without me knowing. Did they hack my account? Or did they manipulate Booking.com somehow? They posted a score of 9 as me. Ridiculous! You have breached my data and privacy by posting a fake review, and now you get a 0 score from me! This is dangerous to the guest because this host lied and was somehow able to impersonate the guest and post fake reviews. I believe it was not only my review that was fakeâyou can see their writing in other reviews as well. You posted a review as a Malaysian guest saying "again I come"?? Which Malaysian speaks English that way?? Fraud!! Liar!! Scammer!! Be careful everyoneâwho knows what else they did, maybe a camera...
